We used Matt Adams for a pre drywall inspection for our new build in Huntersville. He was very thorough and took time to listen to us, and explain what he was seeing in detail. Aaron Grindstaff was amazing. On time, respectful, super helpful, knowledgeable, I can't say enough good things. My crawl space is a nightmare but he was a champ about it and very thorough in his termite inspection. The entire inspection experience was great and I highly recommend everyone to request Aaron if you can.
Update 6 years later- buying another old house and wanted to use HIC again. This time I got Tim Mascarenas and he was excellent. On time, respectful, knowledgeable, thorough. I really like that while he was thorough in his report, he went over it with me and most of it he wasn't concerned over. Just some bigger repairs needed in the crawl space but at the end he said if it was him and he was saying buy it or leave it, he would buy it. It helped put things into perspective for me. Same with the mold inspection- I had absolutely no idea what I was looking at when I got it and he was able to tell me what normal ranges were and what I could do.
I also like HIC's online system- you can view all your reports and then create a repair request document too. Was very easy to use. I like that I could purchase the inspection services online and schedule it as well. I appreciate that they offer Saturday availability too.
