It started with a small leak above our bay window and George was super quick to respond to my request for a quote. Unfortunately the problem was much more extensive with shredded roofing felt and rotten batons so the job quickly escalated into a new roof. George quickly organized a crew and despite working in atrocious conditions, the whole job was completed in under a week. The crew were very professional and polite and kept the site clear every evening. George is the most communicative workman I’ve ever encountered. He was on site personally several times a day and would phone and send WhatsApp photos of progress. Even after he had finished the roofing work he sent a crew back to clean up after the scaffolding was taken down. Highly recommended.

Homefix recently replace our roof due to perished felt and damp issues. I must say they did the job well. 3 guys on site for 2 and a bit days, Day 1 removed all existing tiles, felt and battens, fitted new felt and battens to make water type. Day 2 cleaned and fitted old tiles, sealed gutters with rubber mastic as gutters were in poor condition. Replaced broken tiles with reclaimed tiles they had in the yard at no extra cost. Day 3 tidied up and scaffolding removed. Coming back once scaffolding taken down to ensure all is clean. Homefix did an excellent job, very clean (even blew the leaves off out patio. Organised scaffolding very efficient. Best thing was they kept me updated on every stage, sending photos and videos, very good communication. Also extremely competitive on price. Excellent service George well done :)

Called George and his guys over to get some work done that no-one else would take on. Which was great. Unfortunately the roof was in worse repair than we thought. Chimney literally falling to pieces and rot everywhere. We decided on a new roof. Within an hour, a team had descended on the house erecting scaffolding and fixing the chimney. Next day a whole team started (Saturday morning). Day started with an old rotten roof and ended with a whole new lovely roof. Then Monday was just a bit of housework to finish the job. Never knew a job like this would be finished to the high standard so quickly and efficiently. We were kept up to date on every part of the work with pictures and videos so you can clearly see exactly what is going on, how the job is done. Everything is transparent. George's guys are very professional and excellent workers. Can't say how happy I am with the work. Everywhere was left spotless too, windows garden and driveway, even in the loft. Excellent team and would highly recommend them to all of my friends Thank you George and the team

We cannot thank George and his amazing army of men who worked tirelessly and so hard throughout a full long weekend in extreme heat to help us with replacing our roof. We were given such regular updates with not only messages but videos and photos every single step of the way. We would not hesitate in recommending HomeFix Contractors to anyone that requires roof repairs/replacement roof.. Impeccable workmanship, good quality materials, do everything they can to give guidance and advice, no pressure selling at all and were such clean and tidy workers. As you can see from the photos they even hoovered up outside any mess and hoovered the entire house and washed all the windows.. we can’t thank the team enough.. you all work so well together and are highly skilled in what you do… it’s been an absolute pleasure to do business with you. At the end of the job we were given a 25year warranty as well. They always checked in to make sure we were happy with everything and put our minds at ease.. honestly they worked so hard and replaced an entire roof Including soffits and facias start to finish in 3-4 days!!! Really pleased with the new roof installation that the HomeFix team completed for me. They were quick to respond and keen to get a good job done. The team were friendly and worked really hard to complete the job quickly for me on one of the hottest days of the year. They were also very tidy, once the new roof was on and the scaffolding quickly removed, there was no sign that major works had taken place (both inside and outside the house) apart from the wonderful new roof itself. George and his team from HomeFix Contractors did a fantastic job removing spray foam insulation from our loft, re-lining the roof and refurbishing the roof tiles all to a very high standard.  George kept me updated with photographs and videos every step of the way explaining the whole process and I was very impressed by the pace his team worked at and their diligence.  They were all very polite and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day.  George went out of his way to be helpful and accommodating and as an added touch they cleaned the gutters and fascias when the works were complete! All in all it has been a very positive experience and the end result speaks for itself.  I would definitely recommend HomeFix Contractors for all roofing works, without a doubt. Thank you so much!

We were considering purchasing solar panels for our two bedroom bungalow and were aware that the roof was 65 years old and that we may have problems with the roof carrying the solar panels. We knew that there was potential trouble as we could see daylight from inside the loft. We had noticed George and his crew from Homefix replacing the roofing felt on three houses opposite for a while and were very impressed with the way that they were working. So we went across the road and asked if George could give us some idea of the state of our roof. He came straight over with a ladder and lifted a few tiles up so that we could see for ourselves the state of the felt. The felt looked as though someone had machine gunned it and it was also apparent that the battens were rotten in places. The ridge tiles could be simply lifted off, as most of the mortar had degraded. When we explained that we were already in the process of finding solar panels George offered to start another roofing team on it immediately. The scaffolders moved in the same day and then the team of ten arrived two days later. It was suggested on examination that we had new roof tiles as the old ones’ top layer had gone and although they could be treated with three applications of water proofer, that would not guarantee the same lifespan and they would still be sixty plus years old. We agreed. They were obsolete but George managed to find a supply way north of here and collected them for next day. The tiles and all the felt were removed first day and new felt and batons were put up. The new tiles were put on and the job finished the next day. Lips were put into the gutters from under the felt and work was done around the chimney where needed. Meanwhile a surveyor from a solar panel company went up on the scaffold to measure the roof and was very impressed, saying that the job was being done to a very high standard with no shortcuts. The team were all very pleasant and helpful, and went out of their way to maintain a clean site at all times, sweeping the site clean every night. All materials were removed from the site and we were given a 25 year guarantee. I’ve never seen a job done so quickly and efficiently or so well. Highly recommended.

We had seen HomeFix Contractors re-roofing a nearby bungalow, and had been impressed by the speed the team had stripped and completely refurbished it, and the final result. They had worked tirelessly for a couple of days and it was done. We could see their dedication and the attention to detail as it took shape. It was a stark contrast to what we have seen recently, going on at other nearby properties, with very unprofessional looking people leaving roofs looking worse than they were before, so it was nice to see them in action so we knew what we could expect. We have had a damp problem in parts of our 1950's bungalow ever since we moved in 2yrs ago, and replacing the cracked Finlock guttering a year ago hadn't helped much. So after chatting to George to see what he thought, he suggested a full roof inspection to try and trace the cause. It quickly became apparent that apart from the small extension added around 30yrs ago, this was all the original roof, the majority of the felt and battens were rotten, tiles and ridge tiles loose or broken, and any previous repairs carried out prior to us moving here, were botched, and no longer effective. The guttering wasn't placed correctly for the water to drain properly, and the extension had the wrong type of felt, which was contributing to the damp in the room below. George took photos and videos to show the extent of the problem, so we could see for ourselves how serious the situation was. The thought of having a complete new roof was daunting, both from the cost aspect, but also the disruption we would have expected. George reassured us that he and his large, experienced team could do a complete roof refurbishment, stripping back to the rafters, fit new breathable felt, new battens, a dryline ridge system, and dryline valley system, and get the tiles back on within 2-3 days. He suggested we reuse the old tiles, most of which were fine, with them just replacing the damaged ones. This definitely made sense, being semi detached, as it still blends in with the neighbour, but also dramatically reduced the cost. We would also still have a 25yr warranty on what is effectively a brand new roof. The quote was very reasonable, so having decided to go ahead, we agreed a start date for a few days later, and then they set to work. The scaffolding arrived, closely followed by George and his team of about 10 or 12 who worked non stop to get it completed in 2 days. George was totally in control, regularly sending photos and drone footage of their findings and progress to my phone. They finished off by removing the moss from the tiles, cleaning the guttering and fascias, and sweeping the drive to clear every trace of debris. After completing the roof, they even cleaned the roof lantern and conservatory roof and sides to make sure there was no debris or dirty water left from de-mossing the roof. They had been quite mossy after the Winter anyway, so this was a very welcome bonus! The final result is fantastic, and everywhere left spotless. We are delighted, and feel relieved that we won't be having the inevitable emergency in a bad storm or a harsh Winter, and the damp will be a thing of the past. We were 100% involved in the process at all stages, with George either present, or if out checking on his other ongoing jobs, or picking up materials, then on WhatsApp forwarding drone footage taken by the team as they progressed, and then he would be back. They worked solidly on Thursday & Good Friday, starting at 8am and working solidly until early evening to make sure everything was secure overnight in case of rain, and completed on day 2. Several neighbours in similar properties came to ask for quotes, as they could see how hard they worked, which is great. We would absolutely recommend HomeFix Contractors, we cannot fault any aspect of their work. Thank you George and your team, you have done a great job.

We recently found ourselves in a difficult situation when, during the process of selling our house, we discovered it had closed-cell spray foam insulation in the roof, installed prior to our ownership and originally approved by our surveyor. We were quickly made aware that selling the property would be challenging with this insulation still in place, as lenders are often unwilling to offer mortgages under such conditions. After contacting several companies who refused to inspect the roof in person, instead resorting to alarmist tactics over the phone, we finally came across Home Fix Contractors and George’s exceptional team. Upon inspection, it was revealed that the closed-cell foam had severely damaged our roof, essentially leaving it structurally compromised and largely held together only by the foam itself. This was undoubtedly one of the most stressful scenarios we have faced as homeowners. From the very beginning, George and his team provided reassurance and exceptional communication. We received regular updates, complete with photographs and videos documenting their findings and progress. Every step of the removal and repair process was thoroughly explained, helping us feel informed and reassured throughout. The workmanship displayed by everyone involved, from the scaffolders and carpenters to the tilers, was outstanding. They demonstrated meticulous attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine pride in their work. Our roof now looks better than ever before, transforming what initially felt like a nightmare into something we feel genuinely proud of. Their cleanliness was impeccable. Every fascia, gutter, tile, window, and door was thoroughly cleaned, and our attic space was left spotless after being industrially vacuumed. The turnaround was impressively quick, with a large, skilled team dedicated to completing the work efficiently, even working through the weekend. We genuinely cannot thank George and the entire team enough for their outstanding work and for taking the stress out of such a stressful situation. It is truly wonderful to see professionals taking such pride in their work and executing it with exceptional skill and care. I would thoroughly recommend Home Fix and cannot praise them enough . After we discovered that our roof was damaged , leaking and unstable I contacted George who came round very promptly to investigate . He gave a very honest appraisal of the situation and gave me plenty of options and advice . The work was carried out very efficiently by the fantastic team and nothing was too much much trouble . George was a regular visitor to ensure everything was going to our satisfaction . The team worked very hard to get everything completed asap and there was no stopping for tea breaks etc . Whilst we had the scaffolding up we discussed some issues with the rendered walls and George offered various solutions and couldn't do enough to ensure we were happy .
