After a weekend fishing trip with Chris and Corey, I can honestly say it was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had! They’re so knowledgeable and great teachers—patient and encouraging, and clearly really passionate about fishing. The scenery was just stunning, and it made every moment worth it. The gear they provided was top-notch, well-kept, and high-quality, and everything was taken care of so I could just focus on learning and having a blast. For the experience you get, the value is unbeatable. This wasn’t just a fishing trip; it was a truly memorable adventure. I’ll definitely be back!

Chis is an exceptional guide. He know the rivers and how to fish them in all weather so plan to catch fish- but you have to work it and listen to him - an incredible trainer and mentor for the novice and experienced fly fisherman.

Last weekend my son and I fished the Watauga River with Chris Morris. I had arranged the trip through Chris about a week before hand. This was my first experience with Chris. My son has limited experience fly fishing. Chris was an excellent coach for him. He had an excellent way of explaining things, and even with limited experience, my son caught on quickly. By looking at what the other drift boats were doing I was very happy we were in Chris’s hands. Chris put us on a lot of fish and made it a great time to be on the river. Chris also arranged for our lodging for the trip. I explained to him that I was bringing my wife along. He recommended a cabin that had an excellent view and where my wife felt very comfortable while her two boys were out fishing. Having everyone enjoying the trip is a big plus.

This was one of the best guided fishing trips I have ever taken. Chris and Corey were super friendly, helpful, instructional, and just plain fun. We put a ton of fish in the boat, but more importantly, for a group of 4 anglers with very different skill levels (from zero to intermediate), we all learned something new. Highly recommend using this service and will definitely be back to setup another trip.

I did 2 separate 2 person full day float trips with Chris in 2024 after word of mouth referral from a friend of a friend. First trip was for trout in May the other was for smallmouth on the New in June. Chris was quick to respond to emails with all my questions prior to trips, he communicated well a few days prior to trips, was on time and ready to go day of trips, very professional setup, extremely nice boat and gear, knows the river(s) and put us on fish using so many different techniques that worked for both the novice and seasoned fly fishermen in our groups. Chris met all my expectations of what a fully outfitted guide service would provide both in gear and knowledge. His crew will be my go to in the future.
