The beautiful composition from A.R.Rahman sahab, 'Ye haseen wadiyan, ye khula aasman.....' kept echoing for us as we explored the mesmerizing Harshil valley. We, a group of 12 first time trekkers had an adventurous summer break. Kids full of enthusiasm to explore the narrow paths of GartangGali, running all the way up to climb to the Lama Top, adults admiring the natural landscape of Nelong and Jadaung valley, with all of us offering prayers at Gangotri Dham, it was a thrilling experience.
Staying at the Char Dham camps was an experience of its own. Admiring the Ganges right by the side, surrounded by misty mountains, quiet evenings with bells and blessings from Kalp Kedar temple, relaxing by the bonfire, to great meals, made sure we retired to the tents waking up the next day with a rejuvenated mind, body and soul!
Himalayan Dream Trek truly lived up to its name for making this a special holiday! Thank you, Udit, for being a fabulous planner and being promptly available all the time, our guide Himanshu, for telling the exciting tales as we explored the trails and driver Bipendra, for a safe 5-day journey, allowing us to soak in the natural beauty of Uttarakhand! Thank you, team!!
A must easy trek to explore for people looking for adrenalin rush. We are already planning our next with HDT!

Went on Audens Col Expedition with HDT, and it was an amazing experience. The trek was demanding but with the support of the team it felt like we were in it together. Recommend going with Himalayan Dream Treks if you need an experience of the mountain life without any sugarcoating in its raw form!

We did Pancha Kedar Trek with them and had a terrible experience.
Their briefing sessions weren't completely informative, so we asked some genuine queries related to stay in the WhatsApp group. Their coordinator Bhuvi was super rude to us in answering them.
During Kedarnath, itinerary said hotel to Son Prayag TT ride, but we had to walk. For the govt taxi to Gauri Kund they had told guide will help, but he just didn't bother to help in the morning because it was crowded and we had to struggle to get one.
They do not really care about the food quality. The mention that they provide nutritious food on the website is false. Except Gondhar, nowhere else we got good food. For lunch, at least they could have suggested us where we get good food while trekking, no info given.
They initially said if the hotel where they arranged breakfast delayed it, they would arrange it for us outside, but that did not always happen. On the last day they rejected to pay for the breakfast because we left early didn't have it in the place of stay.
The entire group broke the itinerary and used mule for 1 trek, they made us pay for the stay, but did not even bother arranging breakfast as that was a part of the itinerary.
They did not communicate about cloakroom fee and asked the same on the spot in Son Prayag. When asked for refund before giving it the person said 'it will be there everywhere, is this your first time traveling?' and many more rude things.
Bhuvi suggested leaving the luggage on TT and we did. All our clothes, my camera lens, the pooja prasad we had bought, everything was drenched and water was dripping out of them. When called to speak, he was again rude and disconnected. They said guide will do something about it. The something was he gave me one string and 2 chairs. I spent 4 nights drying and repacking and also 4 days I had to repeat my clothes. He gave this to me, because I asked. Others did not even get that.
They had different itinerary in different places. They had shared a PDF with us which mentioned something, and over the period this Bhuvi comes in and asks us to go through the website which was totally different.
Till day 4 of the trek there was no formal briefing session at all. Guide would randomly tell time for the next day and no other information related to layering etc. for these days.
Do not expect any activity during the trek like other companies do. They just let you go on your own and keep a watch on you.
Here are a few positives:
- TT driver Ram Bhaiyya was sweet and helpful
- even though it took arguments for some of the refunds, once agreed they gave it fast
- they did not taunt/pressurise those who were walking at the end like other companies do. The guides were really considerate on this.

Thanks for the response. Here is my clarification:
1. Briefing session: questions were answered, but before answering your coordinator said we didn't know the answers because we haven't paid attention to the session.
2. I called him to inform because he suggested leaving the luggage in TT while this guide wasn't even there. And the call was at 8:34 PM. All that was needed was to understand the problem so that it doesn't repeat with other customers.
3. govt. Taxi - I mentioned above we just asked for help with catching one which we didn't get in the mng.
4. Lunch - I am vegetarian. All I mentioned was the taste of food. 6 of us could not eat the food provided at the Nandi Base camp 3, dinner and breakfast. You guys are experienced in the area. All I expected was better quality and a bit of taste.
5. I did mention you guys were prompt on the refunds. But for those who kept quiet, ended up paying.
7. My lens pouch was wet hence lens did get super cold. I warmed it keeping under my body in the night.
9. ₹8600 was of 6 people; also, asking for discount was my right, I executed it. I don't think there is a need to mention that in feedback about service quality.
Someone getting late, them joining enroute was a suggestion to save time. To honour the group time, we ended up spending and reaching where TT was.

1. Briefing Session: A proper Zoom meeting was conducted before the yatra by our operations team. Later, all individual queries raised in the WhatsApp group were clearly answered in writing by the team.
2. Regarding Bhuvi’s Response: We had requested that all participants coordinate with their on-ground guide or trek leader during the yatra. However, you preferred calling the office team even at 10 PM despite having a guide leading your batch. As explained, for operational concerns like water in the room, washroom issues, timings, etc., you were supposed to ask your guide first. If unresolved, then the office team can be contacted. For example, if there is no water in your room, your guide or hotel staff will arrange it immediately. Calling the office for such matters delays the resolution.
3. Sonprayag TT Ride: Our TT was with you for the entire journey. However, Kedarnath being a crowded pilgrimage destination, sometimes due to police barricading and traffic restrictions, vehicles are not allowed beyond a certain point. In such cases, walking or taking a government taxi is the only option. This was explained clearly.
4. Food During the Yatra: This is a yatra, not just a trek, and in Dham areas, food options are limited to simple vegetarian meals. Regarding lunch, it was not included in the Panch Kedar itinerary, but since my sales team mistakenly informed you that lunch was included, we honoured that commitment and provided lunch for you and your group without additional charges. Even for items like lemon soda, lassi, juice, coffee, etc. billed by you, we paid to ensure your comfort. We have all bills on record.
5. Breakfast on the Last Day: You chose to leave early morning around 4-5 AM. No property serves breakfast at that hour. However, you still billed us for breakfast that day, and we paid for it as well.
6. Itinerary Break: All breaks, inclusions, and exclusions were clearly mentioned in advance. Our bookings are made beforehand. If you choose to break the itinerary, the additional cost is borne by you. Despite clock rooms not being included in your package, we still paid for your clock room usage to avoid any inconvenience.
7. Wet Bags in TT: Due to heavy rainfall, some bags got wet inside the vehicle. This was not intentional, and upon checking with the guide, we found that no cameras or electronics were damaged.
8. Itinerary & Daily Briefing: The itinerary shared on our website and in the PDF is exactly the same. This yatra involves trekking daily, leaving little time for other activities. Daily timings and plans were briefed each evening.
9. Regarding Pricing: Our Panch Kedar package is priced at ₹40,000 + 5% GST per person. You and your group paid ₹35,000 per person, and later, as a group leader, you received an additional ₹5,000 discount. Additionally, we spent ₹8,600 more for your lunch and the cloak room. Effectively, your payment was approximately ₹20,000 for the yatra, while other group members paid the full amount. Despite this, you continued asking for further discounts, which was unfair to other members who were unaware of your internal group rate negotiations.
10. Group Departure Policy: Since day one, there were challenges in aligning with group policies. This was a group departure, not a customised private trip, and required waiting for fellow members, such as on Day 1 when a participant’s bus was delayed by 30 minutes. You insisted they come alone till Devprayag or Dhari Devi, which was not feasible.
We respect every client equally and cannot extend special treatment in group departures. For future travels, we recommend choosing customised packages to ensure the itinerary and pace align with your personal preference.

recently completed the Panch Kedar Yatra with Himalayan Dream Treks, and it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, the entire journey was well-organized, spiritually enriching, and logistically smooth.
The team was incredibly supportive, ensuring safety, comfort, and a personal touch at every step. Our trek leaders were knowledgeable, patient, and deeply respectful of the religious and cultural significance of each temple we visited – Kedarnath, Tungnath, Rudranath, Kalpeshwar, and Madhyamaheshwar.
Accommodations and meals throughout the trek were thoughtfully arranged, even in remote locations. The logistics—from transport to permits—were handled seamlessly, allowing us to focus entirely on the trek and spiritual journey.
This was not just a trek—it was a life-changing pilgrimage, and I’m grateful to Himalayan Dream Treks for making it so special. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning the Panch Kedar or any Himalayan adventure.

I completed the Gaumukh Tapovan trek from (07.06.2025 - 12.06.2025) yesterday with the Himalayan Dream Treks (HDT) team, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! This was my first time trekking, and I truly believe that HDT made it unforgettable.
HDT takes care of everything you need — from planning to execution. Our trek leader, RAHUL and Guide Himanshu was incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Their experience and confidence really motivated me throughout the journey. They not only led us through different scenic routes but also shared insightful information about the region, making the trek even more enriching. Their constant encouragement, patient support during both the ascent and descent, and attention to my well-being ensured I completed the trek safely and without any injuries. I genuinely wouldn’t have made it without his guidance.
The kitchen team also led by Rahul was exceptional. They served four fresh and delicious meals every day — breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner. What amazed me the most was that not a single dish was repeated over the five days, and everything tasted incredible! The diet chart was created wisely and healthy so that everyone got nutritious and healthy food for this trek.
A huge thank you to the entire HDT team, especially allrounder RAHUL and HIMANSHU for making this trek such a beautiful and memorable experience. I’m already looking forward to going on another trek with HDT later.

I recently completed my first trek with Himalayan Dream Treks and I'm thrilled to vouch for their professionalism. Our guides Himanshu and Rahul were seasoned experts who knew their job inside out, ensuring the team's safety and success. Despite the trek's challenging nature, every single team member completed it – a testament to the guides' expertise. The food was also exceptional. Kudos to Mr Chauhan. One area for improvement could be the sales team's flexibility with last-minute vehicle arrangements, which would have enhanced team bonding right from beginning. Notably, even though our group was merged with another, we seamlessly integrated and had an incredibly enjoyable and fulfilling experience.

Gaumukh Tapovan Trek with Himalayan Dream Trek – A Lifetime Experience!
We recently completed the Gaumukh Tapovan trek with Himalayan Dream Trek, and it was nothing short of incredible! Our group of 8, with 7 members above the age of 40, took on this challenging journey and came back with unforgettable memories.
Though the trek was tough, especially the Bhojbasa to Tapovan stretch (where we even got caught in snowfall!), we managed to complete it safely, all thanks to the constant support and motivation from Himanshu and Rahul. They were always there to help in every situation, ensuring our safety and comfort throughout.
Special mention to the delicious food we were served – getting hot, freshly prepared meals at 14,600 ft is no small feat. Truly commendable!
We enjoyed every bit of this adventure – the breathtaking views, the snow, the company, and the spirit of pushing our limits.
Highly recommend Himalayan Dream Trek for anyone looking to explore the Himalayas with a reliable and supportive team.

I had an incredible experience on the Gomukh -Tapovan trek, thanks to the outstanding trek leaders, staff, and company. From start to finish everything was well organised.
The leader ( Himanshu and Rahul) were knowledgeable, and supportive, always prioritizing our safety and motivating us through the trek.
The support staff especially cook and porter was equally commendable — they serving delicious food at high altitude. I highly recommend this team to anyone looking for a well-managed, safe, and memorable trekking experience. They truly go above and beyond.

Place is simply amazing. Shivam our guide was very helpful and communicative. Driver was very experienced.
Only point which can be improved is the accomodation in tents. Tents can be better equipped to meet 0 degree conditions.

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the Panch Kedar Trek (25th May – 5th June 2025). We’re sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations.
However, we would like to provide some context from our side. Your group of 18 participants was coordinated primarily through Mr. Yogesh and Mr. Deepak. All details, including the nature of the Panch Kedar trails, itinerary, terrain challenges, and accommodation conditions within the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, were clearly communicated in advance.
Despite our repeated follow-ups, there was limited response and coordination from your group before the trek. Important requirements such as proper trekking gear and personal preparation were overlooked — for instance, most participants brought trolley bags instead of recommended rucksacks, which are not suitable for a 130 km high-altitude yatra.
We also want to highlight that this was a spiritual yatra through remote Himalayan regions, not a leisure holiday. Luxury accommodations are not permitted within the sanctuary, and shared basic facilities are the only feasible option in such protected zones. These details were transparently communicated to the coordinating members.
We respect every participant’s perspective and take all feedback seriously. Thank you once again for sharing your thoughts — it helps us continue to improve and serve our trekkers better.
