My recent trip on the island peak expedition was absolutely amazing. My guide Bage was the best guide i could’ve asked for, he was super helpful and compassionate. After the flights to Lukla where cancelled Himalayan masters sorted out a helicopter to take my group instead. I really recommend this trip.
We recently did a Manaslu circuit with HM and had a mixed experience. The trip was going very well until we got severely food poisoned and asked HM to arrange a heli and cut the trip in half. We paid ourselves for the flight for us and also our guide and porter so that they could get home earlier. We were expecting that HM would be open to refund us part of the trip as we did not use the huts, food and crucially the jeep transport at the end of the trip which was a major cost driver for the whole package. Unfortunately, they ignored our messages and reminders for a few weeks end eventually told us they had to pay everything upfront and cannot refund us anything and that our insurance should cover this. This did not sound honest - we experienced during the trip that everything is arranged on the fly and can be changed as needed without much notice.
We chose HM based on excellent reviews and we were really surprised and disappointed with how things developed.
Amazing Langtang Experience
I had a wonderful experience trekking in Langtang Valley. The scenery was breathtaking, with beautiful mountains, rivers, forests, and local villages along the way. A special thanks to my guide, Govinda, who was professional, knowledgeable, and always supportive throughout the trek. He made the journey enjoyable and safe from start to finish. I highly recommend this trek and would happily return again.
Manaslu Circuit Trek from May 22 to June 3
I just came back from a 13-day Manaslu Circuit Trek from May 22 to June 03 with Himalayan Masters and what an amazing experience it was! I went solo and didn't really know what to expect. My amazing guide, Bibek, was able to read my physical capabilities and led me at the right pace so I can enjoy the scenery as well as reach our daily targets right on time and still had plenty of opportunities for breaks and photo ops. He taught me a lot about the culture, religion, flora and fauna, and the basic words that I can use. He made sure my rooms at each tea house had the best views and I can have all the extra milk coffee that I needed :-)... I had my birthday on the 23rd and they made a a beautiful chocolate mountain cake! Raths, my porter, was very sweet with his creative arrangements of my fruit plates for dinner (different everyday!). The team really did made the experience fun and very enjoyable. After discussing options, I decided to remove the side trip to Manaslu Base Camp and went for a side trip to Sherang Gumba instead, and I'm so glad Bibek gave me that option. Staying for a night at a 500-year old Tibetan Buddhist Monastery was quite an awesome experience. The place was so beautiful and serene, with Shringi Himal as the backdrop, it was something like a scene from a movie. We were able to sit down and observe the monks in their afternoon prayers too...We also went on an acclimatization hike to the Nepal-Tibet border, another side trip that I really enjoyed. Very thankful for Bibek for taking me to the border despite of the snowy weather. I went on this trek to connect with nature to decompress and recharge but I achieved more. I connected with people - other trekkers, the local hosts who made delicious hot meals, the adorable little boys and girls with their warm hugs and laughter, the older villagers who genuinely smiles when they hear "tashi delek", and most of all with Bibek and Raths, for the beautiful conversations we had about our lives and families. Though we came from different parts of the world, our family stories and things that we value the most are very similar. Thank you guys for such an unforgettable experience!
Booked manaslu circuit trek with these guys in early May 2026. A lot of other trekkers cancelled due to the war in the middle east so I needed to pay a single supplement but it ended up being the best thing as I had a very personalised experience, my guide Raju spoke excellent English and was happy to talk to me about Nepali culture, politics and history, as well as discussed Hinduism traditions with me. His knowledge on Buddhism was limited as he was Hindu but he did his best to still answer my questions about the Tibetan Buddhist stupas and temples we visited along the way. I was pretty slow due to my blisters and just general lack of training so it was nice being able to take it at my pace. As we got higher, he checked my blood oxygen multiple times a day and recommended teas to drink to cope with altitude. He even sourced local herbal medicines for me when I came down with a mild cold half way through the trek. The company overall was transparent about costs, friendly to deal with and professional. Highly recommend booking with them for your Himalayan adventures 😊
Assolutamente consigliato!
I had a great time trekking on the Manaslu Circuit with Himalayan Masters. My guide, Raj Acharya, was incredibly helpful, kind and knowledgeable. He made the trip much more enjoyable and comfortable.
Not only was Raj very knowledgeable about the trek, he also knew the trek like the back of his hand. My girlfriend and I preferred staying at smaller teahouses with less guests, and since he knew so many different people and teahouse owners at each rest point, he was able to accomodate to our requests. He also knew exactly how long the trek takes, and is able to calculate how long more we need to walk for accurately whenever we asked.
Raj is also really friendly and kind, he always ensures that we are both feeling well and provides recommendations on how we can better take care of our health during the trek (e.g. what to drink or whether to take cold showers). He was more than just a guide, he felt like a close friend who took care of us throughout the trek. 😊😊
our guide Raj Acharya made my first hiking trip a fantastic and memorable one. he was very knowledgeable on the routes, always able to give us estimates of how long more we will take to reach each destination, which motivated us well on longer trekking days. we felt very safe with him throughout the whole trek as he made sure to check on our wellbeing very often and helped us through difficult routes. Raj is also funny, which made our treks more lighthearted and enjoyable, and sociable, which secured us cozy guest houses to rest at.
Himalayan Masters had a pre-trip meeting which gave us a much clearer idea of how the trek will go, and an avenue to raise any questions before the trip.
We did the Manaslu Circuit Trek with Santosh as our guide and Sabin as my friend’s porter. We had the best experience EVER!! Santos was the most amazing guide who also taught me tons of Nepalese throughout the hike and gave me tons of tips of other things to do in Nepal. I got much more out of this trip than just the hike. Sabin also was amazing company on the trek. When days were long and hard, he was always so energetic and positive and made every hike 10 times more fun. I’m so sad for the trip to be over:(
Amazing adventure at Manaslu
Just finished the Manaslu Circuit and I’m still buzzing from the experience! If you’re planning this trek, I can’t recommend Himalayan Masters enough—and specifically, ask for Santosh. He’s basically a local legend on the trail; it felt like he knew every person we passed, and even other guides were asking him for advice. He wasn’t just a guide to us; he became a great friend who made sure we were safe, healthy, and actually enjoying ourselves. A few highlights: The Side Trips: Don’t skip Serang Monastery via Krak! It was so peaceful and we didn't see any other tourists. The morning ceremony was a total "pinch-me" moment. The Food: Trust the "Dal Bhat power," but definitely try the Tibetan pizza at the monastery—it’s actually delicious. The Vibe: We were surprised that the teahouses were actually pretty comfy (some even had western toilets and hot showers!). Santosh customized everything to our pace, so we never felt rushed. Crossing the Larkya La pass was tough, but having a pro like him by our side made it feel totally doable. Such an epic, soulful adventure. Go for it!
Manasalu circuit trek
I had an absolute blast on this trek! Me and my friend booked this trip for our post graduation travels and we couldn’t be happier. Our guide Santosh made the experience unforgettable, making us laugh and smile the whole trek long, while keeping us safe and sharing his expert knowledge. After the first day, I decided to hire a porter and santosh make the process easy. Our porter, Sabin also added good vibes and many laughs to the trek as well. Could not recommend this trek more!
Great guide, epic views, experience of a lifetime
We are so happy we booked our 11-day Manaslu Circuit trek through Himalayan Masters. They made packing easy by providing much of the important gear, and having private jeep transportation to and from the trail was a really nice touch compared to taking slow and crowded buses. As for the trek itself, we loved hiking each day with Bashu, our knowledgeable guide, and Naba, our strong porter. Throughout the trip, Bashu was intuitive and thoughtful about our needs. He was funny, conversational, took great photos of us, and taught us Nepali phrases that we loved using along the route. We shared so many laughs with him! It was also clear that he is deeply respected and well connected throughout the region, and at times it genuinely felt like we received special treatment because we were trekking with him. When I started experiencing the early signs of altitude sickness with a bad headache, Bashu was calm, caring, and very knowledgeable about how to handle it. In the end, we successfully crossed Larke Pass with no issues at all, and we were even the first group to arrive that morning, which meant we got to enjoy the pass completely to ourselves. It was incredible. This trip was such a huge success in large part because of our guide and porter, who made the entire experience possible. Thank you to Bashu, Naba, and the Himalayan Masters team for giving us the honeymoon trek of our dreams!

Manaslu 13 day trek
We decided after much consideration to do the Manaslu Circuit in Nepal. After reviewing several websites and reading reviews we decided to use Himalayan Masters as our preferred company. From our first contact by email to booking our trip Himalayan Masters were extremely professional and helpful and inspired us with confidence. The information pack we received provided us with all the information we needed, clothing selection, boots , poles ,pack etc. Complimentary specialist gear was supplied free of charge, down sleeping bag, down jacket , poles , crampons and duffel bag. This made our packing very easy. On arrival in Kathmandu we were met at the airport by Himalayan Masters and taken to our hotel. The next day we met at the office and were given an in-depth run through gear lists, medical supplies and provided with complimentary equipment. The next morning we were collected early from our hotel and driven by private jeep to our trek starting point. Our guide Amrit was amazing during our jeep ride with local knowledge and information. Amrit was simply an amazing guide and person, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, caring and inspiring. He was meticulous with altitude acclimatisation, clothing choices , sun protection, nutrition and sleep. We came through the trek heathly and happy. Simply put Amrit and our porter Subash were simply amazing and made our trip of a lifetime. We are so grateful and couldn’t be more thankful. Highlights for me were Manaslu base camp, a side acclimatisation trip to the Tibetan border and Larke Pass. I would thoroughly recommend the Manaslu Circuit with great tea houses , food , accommodation and remoteness. The culture was amazing I have great confidence in recommending Himalayan Masters as great company to trek in Nepal.
Manaslu 13 Day Trek
We did the trek with Himalayan Masters and our experience exceeded our expectations. Pre trip communication was fast and informative with a comprehensive packing list received on confirmation of our booking. We were meet at the airport and dropped to our hotel making the arrival process easy and stress free. A comprehensive trek briefing was provided the afternoon before our trek departure. We are extremely grateful to our guide Amrit and porter Subash. Amrit’s English, quiet confidence and guidance regarding acclimatisation and hygiene were excellent throughout. He had extensive knowledge of the culture, wildlife and plants which he shared throughout our trip enhancing our experience. We were well catered for in great tea houses throughout where Amrit played cards with us and checked in on our health daily. Subash was always smiling and carried our load over at times challenging terrain without complaint and did a great job of presentation of our nightly fresh fruit. Every day on the trail was different with spectacular views around every corner, from the forest to the high mountains. Highlights of the trek were our acclimatisation treks to Manaslu Base camp and the Tibetan border, and of course Larke Pass. I would 100% recommend Himalayan Masters for your trek.
Three Passes Trek
I completed the Three Passes Trek with Himalayan Masters and had a great experience from start to finish. The team was organized, helpful, and made sure we were properly prepared. Our guide, Bashu, was excellent throughout the trek. The weather conditions were rough at times with snow, poor visibility, and changing trail conditions and his experience and judgment made a huge difference. I honestly don’t think we would have completed all three passes without him. He was calm, knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced in the region. He also helped tremendously with the constantly changing Lukla flight situation, which removed a lot of stress from the trip. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Himalayan Masters to anyone planning a trek in Nepal, especially something more demanding like the Three Passes Trek.
