From the first meeting with Ned and Greta, we felt at ease, especially given that we were boating novices having never owned a boat before. They helped us to uncover what we were looking for in a boat, and what type of boat would work for our anticipated boating lifestyle. They helped us to find the right boat and to get our beloved Fairway 36 "Hideaway" down from Queensland and then through the task of getting her ready to take to Paynesville so that we could enjoy our retirement cruising around the Gippsland Lakes. They work with an amazing group of marine trade experts, and this was and continues to be a wonderful asset in the maintenance of Hideaway. Ned gave us excellent instruction on how to drive our boat and continues to provide wonderful training and advice. Without Ned and Greta, I fear that we would still be trying to work out what we need, or worse still own a boat that wasn't fit for our "return on lifestyle " We are so grateful for their help and ongoing support. High Tide Boating are the best.

We recently used the services of High Tide Boating for lessons with our new boat. Whilst we have owned many trailer boats over the years, we have never had a much bigger one that is permanently in the water. Ned's was a wealth of information and helped us to become completely familiar with our new boat. His calm demeanor made the lessons very enjoyable, informative and incredibly helpful. If you want to learn about anything boating - Ned at Hightide is your guy. From pre purchase guidance to safe boat handling, he covered all bases with us. I highly recommend speaking with Ned for 5 to 10 mins before you buy a boat (doesn't matter if its a 15 footer or a 50 footer, he covers all). They are a big investment and his knowledge might save you a lot of heart break. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend the HighTide team. Earlier this year I bought a second-hand boat in Europe that I shipped to Melbourne. Self-importing a second-hand boat from overseas is stressful at the best of times. It became even more stressful when several shipping delays meant that I had to be away from Australia when the boat finally arrived in September and that I would thus be unable to receive the boat personally. Long story short, Ned saved the day. He received the boat on my behalf, checked everything carefully, liaised with the surveyor, wisely decided on a replacement of a thru-hull fitting that had become vital before the boat could be launched, organised this and some other minor repairs, rigged the boat and got it cleaned up and polished before launch. None of the minor hiccups (such as that all keys had been lost in transport) deterred him. All of this happened with 100% reliability, for honest and reasonable rates, and arguably with more expertise than I would have had myself. Ned even detected some minor issues that had been overlooked by the pre-purchase surveyor in Europe. When I returned home I found my new boat happily sitting in its berth ready to go. I could not have been happier with the process. From the first conversation, I had the feeling that the job would be in safe and capable hands and this turned out to be very true. The reliable backend organisation by Greta and her responsive communication contributed to this as much as Ned's expertise, dedication and attention to detail. I highly recommend the HighTide team and look forward to working with them again.

I can speak more highly of Ned & Greta from High Tide Boating and my personal experience with them. My initial contact resulted in a very professional conversation about my requirements. Ned & Greta then tailored a training package specifically suited to what I wanted to achieve. I highly rate Ned as an instructor, he has years of knowledge and experience, he shared many tips and tricks which will prove invaluable. I thought I could learn a lot from YouTube etc. but in hinddsight really should have started with training from High Tide Boating . Despite the tidal conditions not being ideal for my scenario on the day of my training, Ned was very flexible to reschedule components of my training to a more suitable date which was really appreciated. At the end of the session I was really happy and confident with what I had learnt from Ned and was able to successfully put it into practice. I would highly recommend anyone taking up boating for the first time or anyone looking to make their boating experience easier to avail of a High Tide Boating instruction package.
