I had an extremely disappointing experience with Highgate Consultant, and I would not recommend their visa services based on my experience.
When I applied for my freelance visa, the process was unnecessarily delayed. I had to keep following up for weeks, sometimes even months. Calls often went unanswered, messages were ignored, and I constantly had to chase them for updates instead of receiving proactive communication.
After two years, when I decided to cancel my visa, the experience was even worse. I had to repeatedly visit their office because I wasn’t getting proper responses. Instead of handling the process themselves, I was directed to a typing service. The labour cancellation alone took around three weeks, and after that I was told to complete the visa cancellation myself.
I paid AED 450 for the cancellation process, but all that was done was the labour cancellation. I was then told to go and complete the visa cancellation on my own and pay any additional fees myself. This was very frustrating and not what I expected after paying for their services.
One of the consultants, Naima, was, in my experience, unprofessional and rude during my interactions. Overall, I found the staff to be unhelpful. Even simple tasks, such as updates regarding my Emirates ID, required constant follow-up. Once payment was made, I felt that customer service and communication became very poor.
If you are considering using this company, I strongly advise asking for complete clarity in writing about what services are included, how long each step will take, and what additional charges may apply. Based on my experience, I would also recommend ensuring that any visa cancellation is started well before any licence expiry to avoid unnecessary delays.
Overall, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. I would not use Highgate Consultant again, nor would I recommend them to friends or family.
