I first met Michael in January 2013, as I was searching for someone to build a trustworthy working financial relationship with, someone who could provide me with educated common sense financial guidance. Michael has done just that! I had invested through my 401K at work for many years, but felt at the time I needed a professional to review the investments I had made, and provide guidance as to what I might need to change to reach my financial goals. Michael has always treated me as if I were very important, responding to all of my inquiries generally within the same day, never applied any pressure, and I am convinced he has always been genuinely concerned that I succeed, which I have. I am grateful I met Michael 12 years ago, and would highly recommend High Bluff Private Wealth to anyone. The definition of a CFP states: Act with honesty, act in the best integrity, competence and diligence, exercise due care, maintain the confidentiality and protect rhew privacy. Michael and his team practice the definitions of their duty. From the moment the receptionist answers the phone with professionalism and kindness. I love the fact that we, as clients, meet annually to go over the details of our investments, answer questions, etc. I have been with Michael and his team since 2016 and could not be happier.

Michael Shanahan and his firm have been instrumental in helping my wife and I plan for retirement, make smart tax planning decisions and most importantly plan for our children's education. His approach is straight forward and honest and my wife and I truly get the sense that Michael cares about our family. One of my favorite aspects of being an Overland and Shanahan client is the regular communication regarding our financial goals.
