Amazing historical and modern sights of Mysuru Deena and Sanjana were fantastic hosts. Started the day with a traditional breakfast, followed by a trip to a cotton farm and local market. The highlight of the tour was Mysore palace, which is a sight for sore eyes. The palace is a mix of European, Hindu and Islamic architectural styles and the artwork was completed by 15 top European artists at the time. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

10/10 for Pradeep! Pradeep is an excellent tour guide. Super knowledgeable and great at story telling. We went to several places to understand the culture and history of Bangalore. I attended the tour alone so I was worried about it but Pradeep is very friendly and approachable. You can tell he’s passionate about his job and enjoy touring. The lunch place is authentic and tasty. I mentioned wanting to buy some snacks as souvenirs, Pradeep took me to a savory shop at the end of the tour. Appreciate the flexibility and would def recommend this experience!

Excellent and uniquely planned day trip out! Praveen was a fantastic guide during our daytrip out of Bangalore - he is extremely knowledgeable about the culture and history, and was able to answer just about any question posed to him. Clearly, a lot of thought and planning went into the tour, as things went exceedingly smoothly, and we also got to see some fascinating sights that other tours to Mysore don't normally go to (silk cocoon auction, Somanathapura Temple). Plus, you also get to try some tasty local food during breakfast and lunch with someone who knows what to order! Perhaps my only feedback would be that the time at Devaraja Market was a little quick, and not so many pictures are needed :D But as a whole, I would definitely recommend going on this tour with Hidden Gems!

A great introduction to the city Never a dull moment with Pradeep, who adeptly showed us the sights with great humour and wit. My favourite stop of the tour has got to be KR Market, where the colours and chaos were a real feast for the eyes. We also had a lovely lunch at a local vegetarian restaurant. Would definitely recommend taking the tour if you're new to the city and want to learn a bit more about it!

Great trips all round We toured with Pradeep in Bangalore and then Mysore. Everything was very smooth, we felt well looked after and Pradeep is extremely knowledgeable as well as being charming and funny. Our driver was also excellent. Communications with Praveen were also very good. We visited some interesting spots, with the Bangalore market and Somanathapura temple being highlights. Could not recommend this company highly enough.

True local experience It’s a great tour to actually have a local experience. We loved the itinerary and can only recommend it to everybody who wants to grasp the true beauty of Bangalore.

Great experience We loved the day trip with Praveen. He knows a lot of interesting facts about the city what makes the trip, besides the nice places you visit, even more special. Even though the tour is a little expensive for India it’s worth to go and see much more than just typical sightseeing spots. We definitely would have missed the most special parts. An absolute must - don’t hesitate, just book! This was undoubtedly one of the best tours I have ever experienced. Our guide was exceptional, picking us up from our hotel in Bangalore and spending about 12 hours with us. His vast knowledge of the places we visited, as well as Bangalore and India from a lifetime of living here, and his engaging personality made the tour incredibly enjoyable. Thanks to him, we explored many areas we would have missed on our own. The day was well planned and everything was perfectly organized, from skipping the queues at Mysore Palace to enjoying traditional breakfast and lunch, and visiting the Kesheva Temple in Somnathpur and Srirangapatna. I cannot emphasize enough how outstanding this tour was and how fantastic our guide was. I highly recommend setting aside a day for this tour!

Best way to get a taste of Bangalore What a wonderful day we had! Usually I like to explore a city on my own to get a feel for its particular atmosphere. As a native Bangalorean Ravi is a great guide to interesting places, very knowledgeable. He is the perfect link to local life, people and food. He is the nicest person to spend time with, with an uplifting spirit and a great sense of humor. His tour was well organized and yet flexible to our spontaneous wishes. I’m really happy that I joined in.

One of the best guided Tours I did so far! My colleagues and I booked this tour for our layover in Bengaluru and it was worth every penny. We saw beautiful sights and the car rides were just as wonderful as the sights themselves. We ate amazing authentic food (authentic Indian dishes, Fruit from the market and sweets). Praveen, our guide, was super nice and fun to be with and made the tour so much fun and we got a lot of wonderful pictures of our Trip. For me, it was my first time in India ever and this Trip made me fall in love with southern India and made me interested to explore the other regions of this diverse and beautiful country. Best of Mysore/Mysuru, Somnathpur & more Highly recommend this tour if you want see not just the famous sites, but also the hidden gems along the way. Praveen is passionate about what he does and enthusiastic about sharing the best of India with you. He is extremely knowledgeable - you will learn so much about the places you visit. It’s not a typical tour that might take you shopping or to a tourist trap. I got to see some of the greatest hits and was safely dropped off at my hotel.

A history lesson disguised as fun at some beautiful sites. Praveen was the perfect host for a beautiful, if sometimes packed with people, Mysore. The sightseeing was really great and Praveen added a ton to the experience. He knows how to navigate these sites extremely well and is an absolute font of knowledge on the sites and regional history. He really added context that makes for a great experience. Nice sites, great people, and some good food to top it off. Highly recommend.

Book this tour Do not hesitate to book this tour with Hidden Gems. This was not my first time in Bangalore, and I had been on other tours. However, the tour with Praveen was head and shoulders above the others. His enthusiasm and passion to make certain his guests have a full understanding of his city is one of the things that made all the difference. He made the city come alive. We talked about what I had seen on my past visits in order to ensure that our time would be well spent. He was determined to show me the aspects of Bangalore that I had not seen before, and the combination of the depth of his historical knowledge with the quality of his narrative and his personal kindness made for an unparalleled experience. It was very, very hot when I visited in April, and I made the mistake of booking this tour to begin a few hours after I got off the plane. As a result, a combination of exhaustion and the heat got to me. Praveen knew something was wrong moments before I did, and after giving me immediate assistance he took me back to my hotel. It could have ended there, but he arranged for me to enjoy the balance of the tour on another day. I am telling you this to explain that Praveen truly cares about his guests and wants them to have the best experience possible. An exceptional day If you want to get away from the city and experience the history and culture of India then book this tour. Yes, 6:30 is an early morning pickup, but the reward is to have the chance to spend the day with Praveen, who loves to share his extraordinary historical knowledge with you. The tour takes you out of the city and into the country in order to give you a truly off the beaten track experience. Praveen’s in depth commentary during the visit at the Lepakshi Temple made it easy for me to imagine what a pilgrimage to the temple would have been like for those who made the pilgrimage hundreds of years ago. In his quest to make certain his guests had the correct information, Praveen stopped to have a quick conversation with a temple priest to confirm that he had a piece of history right. Another part of the tour that I thought was valuable was the easy conversations that we had while travelling in the car. Praveen was happy to discuss any topic that I thought would give me a better understanding of his country. Among other things, we talked about economic development generally, the opportunities available to the youth of India, the electoral process, and engagement/marriage customs The Nandi Hills are beautiful, the views are breathtaking, the lunch was relaxing and the food was delicious. It was very hot during my visit in April, so we took the bus to the top of the hills. I was happy that Praveen knew about this option so that I experience the views without the stress of hiking in the heat. It’s easy for you to read the description of what you will see during the tour, but what you really need to know is that you will be cared for like a friend during your Hidden Gems Tour

Excellent one day tour! Praveen and our driver were so kind and helpful. Praveen’s knowledge of history, geography and culture is so impressive and his ability to navigate the different sites made the tour so enjoyable. I learnt a lot and had a lot of fun!

Great tour, great guides Pradeep and Sanjana were our guides for the Mysore tour. They had a great deal of knowledge about both the history and current culture of India and were able to convey that knowledge with kindness and humor. There are many tour companies that can take you to see the sights of India. The difference is that I felt that this company really cared that I had a great experience. We had a large group split into two vehicles. One thing that I liked is that when we stopped the guides, would switch between cars so that when driving you had the opportunity to hear two different viewpoints. The only misstep is that we were running late and the group decided to skip going to the Devaraja market. If you want to spend a day learning the history of India, experiencing the culture of the country and enjoying delicious traditional food with caring tour guides, then book with Hidden Gems.

Super day in Bengaluru I had a fantastic day with Praveen in Bengaluru. He is extremely well informed about all of the sights and places of interest. I learnt a great deal about the history of India. As I was on my own, I really appreciated all of the photos he took. Overall a highly recommended tour and memorable experience.
