I recently visited this office after not having an annual cleaning for about 5 to 6 years, which I know is quite embarrassing. However, my experience there was overall pleasant.
Upon arrival, I was welcomed by a friendly staff member with locs, who made me feel at ease in the inviting atmosphere. Unfortunately, one of her colleagues, whom I believe was Asian, seemed a bit standoffish and didn't address me at all, but I understand that everyone has their own style of interaction.
The doctor I saw was fantastic, even though it wasn't the one I had originally scheduled with, and I wasn't informed of this change beforehand. This slight miscommunication is the only reason I'm giving a 4-star review instead of a full 5.
The assistant, Abbey or Gabby—my apologies if I got her name wrong—was also very kind and attentive.
Overall, it was a nice experience, and I look forward to returning for my next appointment!

Botched filling at iSmile Greenpoint will result in a root canal
I went to iSmile as a new patient to have an existing filling redone. [Background: I’m a patient at Wally and they don’t redo fillings].
Dr. Diba redid my filling and said that all went well, however that my filling in the next tooth would also need to be redone imminently. As I was already numbed, we agreed she could do it then.
I have had plenty of fillings before, but I have never had my head jerked around, sharp pain, and so much uncertaintly during an appointment. It ended with her letting me know that she drilled so much tooth that I would probably need a root canal.
The office manager texted me the next day with several apologies, probably because the staff had noticed what a disaster it was. This was a dentist they were “trying out.” I wish I’d been informed as much, and that a regular dentist had also been present.
I haven’t chewed with the left side of my mouth since, and rely on ibuprofen and tylenol for the pain. iSmile ignored my last scheduling text, and while I was told that the owner was going to call me on Monday, he never did. That was 10 days ago, so I don't think I should wait any longer for that call. They were paid well from both me and my insurance, the dentist was paid, and yet I have to undergo a root canal elsewhere.
Obviously I’ve booked in with my previous dentist that is trustworthy.

Had to find a new dentist since I moved to NYC and Zocdoc helped me find a great place in iSmile. I arrived and was seen by dental hygienist right away and she was amazing as well as dentist who checked for problems. Highly recommend this dental clinic to all.

No wait time, friendly front desk staff. Xray technician was kind and quick. Jasmine the hygienist was skilled and gentle. Doctor Chiuy (sp?) was knowledgeable and thorough including oral leukoplakia screening.

the oral surgeon here is atrocious and the dental chair was literally dirty when I came in, like someone's else blood in the spit sink, disgusting

My wife got her wisdom teeth extracted at this office and the entire experience was terrible from start to finish. The oral surgeon was extremely rude, rushing the procedure and literally scolding my wife for having a panic attack. When we asked how long the procedure would take, the surgeon responded "longer than it should because she keeps squirming around". The lack of bedside manner was almost comical. On top of this the appointment started almost 45min late, and afterward we received an odd bill that was not explained or expected. Totally awful experience. Take my advice and use a different office.

Wouldn't recommend, they told me they accepted my insurance and then didn't and was left with a huge bill. Don't trust their word for total amounts due
