What an amazing experience!! The entire team was so helpful, knowledgeable, and understanding! We just moved to the lake and have been looking for a vet for our sheepadoodle and I am so happy we have found our people. Dr.Blackman was wonderful and answered all of my questions in detail and most importantly, my dog was comfortable with him thoughout our appointment. I would recommend this vet to all of my friends and anyone looking for a wonderful practice!!

Heart & Paws Veterinary Hospital is large well run office. Inside & out the building is immaculate and modern. My 6 yr old golden doodle has been also using their grooming services since July if 2026, when I moved to Sparta. The groomer, Amanda, is wonderful! She loves animals, has a genuine way with pets and loves what she does. Amanda is patient, reassuring and not asks questions but she remembers from one appointment to the next how you like your pet groomed. My golden loves going to Heart & Paws Veterinary Hospital for shots, well visits & grooming....your pet will love them too! ❤️

Dr. Izzie and other vets, vet techs (Dee was wonderful at today’s visit), office staff—everyone is so kind and excellent at what they do. My dogs and I are always greeted with love and enthusiasm! My pups are not afraid to come here, and that’s saying a lot!

I visited Doctor Blackman at Heart + Paw, he and Maddie helped care for my boy. He was incredibly thorough and thoughtful in the way he administered treatment. He was patient with all of my questions and his responses were genuine. I had a great experience booking and during my visit. I plan to recommend to family and friends.

I’ve just moved to Hopatcong and am chored with finding all new providers- for myself and my doggo Hank. I researched and researched and kept coming back to Heart & Paw. The pages and pages of positive reviews and kind words won me over. Our first apt was today & I couldn’t be happier. The transition of records was flawless. The online system for basically every need, is easy and efficient. The follow ups are appreciated. Hank was unfortunately under the weather for his first apt, but Heart & Paw went above and beyond to ensure Hank was well cared for, and other clients were kept safe. I appreciate all the wonderful care we were shown today.

I called with an emergency with my dog Chase he was bleeding from his rectum and had diarrhea . Our regular vet was closed and I knew I needed to get Chase checked out immediately. Instead of going to Newton and waiting for the ER doctor and it costing a fortune . I called I spoke with Christina one of the receptionist she couldn’t be more helpful and kind . She calmed me down and told me to come right over . I highly recommend Heart & Paws to anyone for vet care or emergency . The two techs Brett was wonderful and I don’t know the other young girl she was so kind and helpful too . We saw Dr. Blackman and he couldn’t be more helpful, kind , thorough and explained everything to us clearly , and made Chase feel comfortable and not afraid or stressed . He can become snappy but Dr Blackman and the vet tech held him and placed a cone on him and he was fine . Dr Blackman even before examining him got down at his level was petting and playing with Chase made him feel comfortable and relaxed . I really like Dr Blackman and would recommend him to anyone. Thank you so much for seeing and taking care of Chase and making me feel better too !

Very professional and attentive, the entire staff were outstanding and very caring. Dr. Blackman was awesome with my Tater , she's a very nervous dog and was very caring and understanding, he gained her trust quickly which was an amazing feat for her. Highly recommend Heart & Paw.
