I cannot recommend Dr. Michelle Iona enough. I started seeing her for fertility acupuncture, and from the very first appointment she made me feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. She took the time to truly listen to me, not just about my symptoms, but about my whole experience. She worked closely with me on improving my diet and overall wellness, and always explained things in a way that felt supportive and empowering. What I appreciated most was how she spoke to me like a friend - warm, encouraging, and completely invested in my journey. When I eventually got pregnant, she was just as excited as I was. That level of care and connection is rare. I’m so grateful for her support during such an important chapter of my life. If you’re considering fertility acupuncture, she is truly the best.

Dr Iona is absolutely incredible. She worked with my mom and helped her so much. Beyond the results, Dr. Iona is genuinely one of the most caring practitioners we’ve ever been to. She takes her time, truly listens, and makes you feel comfortable and supported from the moment you walk in. You can tell she really cares about her patients and wants them to feel their best. If you’re looking for an amazing acupuncturist who is both highly skilled and deeply compassionate, I can’t recommend Dr. Iona enough.

My son, a competitive athlete, had gone to Dr. Iona for FSM treatments with a sports hernia and pulled groin injury. His injury was fully resolved (healed) with two treatments and back home he had nothing but stellar comments to share about Dr. Iona’s practice. I came to Dr. Iona for help with a severe turf toe injury (torn connective tissue of the foot). Standing up on it was impossible. Pain was unbearable. Redness and swelling would not subside. Sleeping was difficult. Compresses – hot and cold - did nothing to alleviate these conditions, nor did home remedies I had tried. Getting a cortisone injection – as an option - was out of the question (for me). I have learned that these types of injuries take a long time to heal – conventional recovery timeline is upwards of 6 weeks -- but given the severity of my injury, I resolved myself to a recovery time of several months. I was feeling hopeless until after my first appointment with Dr. Iona. Dr. Iona, thru her FSM treatments addressed it all, with noticeable improvements within 12 hours following each treatment (I’ve had four). .. To date, I have no pain (although an occasional nerve twitch occurs while walking), range of motion is wider, redness is 95% gone, ligament stiffness is minimal. Puffiness around the ball of the foot has subsided significantly. My walking steps are small, but complete and firm. Dr. Iona’s expertise and FSM treatments have catapulted me weeks ahead of schedule in my recovery. As for Dr. Iona, her personality is unique. She is like a concerned family member with knowledge, expertise, and credentials who will stand on her head to help with the healing and recovery process. Thank you, Dr. Iona!

Michelle is fantastic . She is the kindest, most knowledgable Functional practitioner and acupuncturist you’ll find! Dr Michelle is a pro through and through. I have never sat before in an evaluation where someone listened so intently to the why's of my condition. I wanted to write a review for Dr. Michelle Iona because she has been a life saver for me. I was struggling with migraines for the last ten years. I used to get them once a month or so and for the last three years the migraines had been getting progressively worse and more often. I was skeptical about acupuncture but am so thankful that I chose her. She is so kind and informative on ways to help so that I prevent getting migraines in addition to improving my overall general health. The acupuncture does not hurt at all and more importantly it works! I was trying all different kinds of medicine that would hopefully help for the pain, but it did not help with why I was getting them. Dr. Iona helped me narrow down what was causing the migraines and she was right. I have been headache free for over four weeks and every day without a headache is a blessing. I would highly recommend her!

I began seeing Dr. Michelle in July 2024 after struggling with infertility for over a year. Frustrated with my experiences with fertility specialists and other doctors, I decided to explore alternative options. A friend recommended Healing Points after a family member had found success there, and I immediately felt heard and supported. During each session, I had the chance to discuss my how I was feeling, what was helping, and any changes in my body. After working with Dr. Michelle every week for five months, I became pregnant. Now in my second trimester, I’ve had a smooth pregnancy so far, which I attribute to the work we did together leading up to conception and the ongoing support. I visited Dr. Iona because one of my vocal cords had been paralyzed for a couple months due to an illness. For approximately two months I could not speak much louder than a whisper. After my ENT provided no assistance or guidance on how to heal the vocal cord, I went to Dr. Iona for an FSM treatment. The treatment itself was simple and painless (I didn’t even feel it!) Dr. Iona gave me several suggestions on how to stimulate my vocal cords and get them working again. Within a few days I started to see a tiny improvement. Within about two weeks my voice gradually got better and was about 70 percent restored. And now, just over a month after my first FSM treatment, my voice is nearly back to 100%. Dr. Iona is very caring and she really listened to me. Not only did she give me great advice, she gave me hope. Thank you, Dr. Iona, for the wonderful care that you gave me! I highly recommend Dr. Iona and FSM!
