Unfortunately, as a motor license issuer, we need direct authorization from SGI to backdate that type of cancellation. Because the SGI support lines were already closed when you arrived after 6:00 PM, we weren't able to get that approval right then. Our team hoped to save you a return trip by offering to call them for you first thing the next morning, as we always want to do what we can to help within the provincial guidelines we work under. We respect that the options available at that hour weren't what you were looking for, and we’re sorry we couldn't do more for you that evening.

After more than a decade of working with Harvard Western, we have recently had very poor experiences with Harvard Western, specifically Tricia Oszust, that have resulted in significant financial loss.
We sought insurance advice due to pregnancy-related travel concerns and were explicitly advised to purchase Tugo, with assurance that it would cover us if my doctor later advised against travel, even without complications. This recommendation was made with full awareness that I was already pregnant and needed protection based on medical advice.
After my doctor and a travel nurse advised me not to travel, Tricia confirmed, after speaking directly with Tugo, that a doctor’s note would be sufficient. Relying on that guidance, we cancelled our trip. Our claim was later denied, leaving us out thousands despite following every instruction provided.
This is not an isolated issue. Earlier this year, another recommendation for house insurance from Harvard Western, resulted in over $2000 wasted and lost.
The advice provided has repeatedly been inaccurate and costly, without rectification, causing unnecessary stress during an already sensitive time. We would strongly caution others against relying on Harvard Western for insurance guidance. We certainly will never be using them again.

Home insurance involves many variables, and we never want a client to feel that they have wasted money on a policy that didn't serve them well.
