I shopped for many years at Moyer Indoor Outdoor but had to find another store for bird seed when they closed last year. Harleysville feed has good bird seed, but the customer service is lacking. The last two times I shopped, the register staff were more concerned with their cell phones than ringing a customer out. Today, even though I told the clerk multiple times what I wanted to buy, she repeatedly input an incorrect item. The visit before was similar. That time, after a frustrating time at the register, I asked if someone could bring the bag to my car. She called to request that, but no one ever appeared with the bag of seed. I reentered the store and got it myself.
I'll be looking for another shop with staff that shows some sense of customer service.

Hi Sue! We apologize for your experience. In the last two months, we've welcomed a bunch of new staff members so the new team is still learning how to ring items up, use our point of sale system, & find products in our warehouse.

My wife and I chose to visit Harleysville Feed after hearing you can find bird food and other animal feeds at much lower prices here than at big box stores. Inside, we were amazed by the wide selection of animal feed, medications, clothing for dogs and cats, toys, bones, pellets for pellet stoves, and so much more. We ended up buying a fifty-pound bag of excellent bird seed for twenty-two dollars and a fifty-pound bag of whole dried deer corn for a very, very reasonable price. Previously, we paid three to ten times more for bird seed at large retailers and of course Amazon, but not anymore. Thanks, Harleysville Feed we will be returning.

They have great selection of things for all kinds of animals. My birds love the platinum picnic feed and is worth the long drive to get it. I REALLY wish they had a rewards program to show they appreciate their loyal customers.
