I was referred here from my pediatrics office after asking for a dermatologist referral for my son for a possible mole removal. The referral stated why we made this request. The provider was very nice. But after talking to her, she said she cannot provide surgical mole removals as that needs to be done by a dermatologist (what I had requested). After looking her up, she is a NP and cannot surgically remove this for us. I keep receiving bill notices, but I don’t even understand why we were accepted for a service that cannot be provided. She’s very nice, but it was inconsiderate and a loss financially.

I'm completely disheartened as a business owner to see a two-star review for a problem that could have been avoided. It is common for families to schedule an appointment for skin checks and receive recommendations for next steps if biopsy is necessary. It states explicitly on the scheduling page of the website that I do not biopsy in my clinic and that I am a nurse practitioner (https://www.happyskindermatology.com/request-an-appointment/), but never the less I will coach my staff try to avoid this type of issue in the future. Again, very sorry for your experience.
