We started our stop in Inverness with a glorious day with Andrew traveling around the Isle of Skye. He is a world class story teller about his experiences growing up in many of the areas we toured. Fabulous sense of humor and he laughed along with us. We had an issue with a car so Andrew arranged to drive us again, the following day, to visit the Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns and get us to a prearranged distillery tour. Because we no longer had a car, Happy Tours took us down to our next stop, St Andrews. We met a new driver, Drew, another great conversationist with a completely different Scottish background.

Wonderful Scottish Guides We started our time in Inverness with a glorious day traveling around the Isle of Skye with Andrew, a world class story teller! With joy, humor, and enthusiasm, Andrew shared experiences about life growing up in the highlands, different jobs he had held and retold teenaged experiences. Fabulous sense of humor and he laughed along with us. We had a problem with our car so Andrew arranged to drive us the following day to visit the Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns and get us to a prearranged distillery tour. Because we no longer had a car, Happy Tours took us down to our next stop, St Andrews. We met a new driver, Drew, another great conversationist with a completely different Scottish background. We stopped along the way to see an AMAZING Working Sheep Dog exhibition, just like Babe (but no pig). Cannot recommend the helpful kindness we experienced with Happy Tours.

Cullodin battlefield tour A very interesting and informative experience Learn about history at this tour in a balanced and knowledgeable way. The guide was very good and very clear. And you get to see the battle field.

Thank you Happy Tours, Cameron, and our tour guide Mike!! We had a great time going to Skye. Cameron was wonderful helping me get everything organized on the computer side of things. Mike was an incredible guide!!! So knowledgeable on the history side and then had wonderful tales about all the places we visited. Mike also had us crying from laughter with his jokes and stories! What an amazing day!!!

Perfect for Tweens and Teens Our family includes a 13-year-old history buff, and a 10-year-old who has no interest in history at all. From the Urquhart Castle to the Culloden Battlefield to the Clava Cairns, our guide, Ian, gave both kids a perfect day. (My husband and I loved it, too!) Ian personalized our tour by skipping the distillery in favor of a trip to the Loch Ness Centre, a immersive, multimedia museum that the kids loved. Sharing legends of warrior fairies and stories of Nessie sightings alongside historical observations, Ian quickly felt like an old (kilt-wearing!) friend -- with a vast knowledge of this awe-inspiring place.

This was our second tour on two different trips with Happy Tours and we were so glad we came back. The first time, we let them plan a trip with 4 distilleries that they chose with a lunch stop at the Mash Tun, a favorite on the Whisky Trail and also of ours. This trip, we chose a particular distillery and a historic site, Elgin Cathedral, and let Cameron choose the other two. Our excellent guide, William, also took us to a whisky shop where we tasted and purchased some rare whisky. He said he had never been there before but a woman at one of the distilleries recommended it while we were there. We’re very glad we went because the guy at the shop, Tom, knew exactly which whiskies to show us when we told him our preferences. William was a fun and very knowledgeable guide and had lots of funny stories. He also recommended an excellent restaurant in Inverness, Cafe One. The whole experience in the private Land Rover is very luxurious. We will book with them again on our next trip.

It's exciting to try new tastes and the best place for this is definitely on the Speyside Whisky Tour and at the tastings. All the staff in the distilleries are very eager to help you enjoy your day and find a taste you prefer. Today we have spent with Niall Maclean as our tour guide both Vicki and myself have had a wonderful day visiting Dunrobin Castle, Dornoch Cathedral, the Court House for lunch then off to Glenmorangie Distillery travelling through some beautiful countryside spotting the seal sunning themselves, I must say that Niall was very informative as we travelled we had ample time in each stop over and it was a pleasure to travel this beautiful town with but best was he pulled out his bagpipes and played a tune for us ! Just a great day thanks Niall.

I came across Happy tours on the net while searching for day tours to the Isle of Skye and after reading the reviews decided to go on the one day trip by a private vehicle. Should say it was one of the best decisions we took, the Land Rover was very comfortable. We took the extended 12 hour tour and our guide Mr Andrew was excellent. He was very informative , patient and filled us in with all the details of the land and the culture. A very safe driver and made sure we were comfortable through out. We truly enjoyed the tour

We did the Culloden Battlefield & Loch Ness Tour and could not recommend it more! Drew was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable. He had interesting facts and stories about each town we drove through and each attraction we visited. He was patient and kind and I would absolutely book with him again.

This was a fun tour with LOTS of stops and things to see. It’s less Loch Ness and more of the area around Loch Ness and all it has to offer. The whiskey stop was great, and culloden was amazing. We added on cawdor castle (for a little extra fee) and it was worth it, my 16yr olds loved that place and the garden was beautiful. Highly recommend!!

Super tour and great company to work with We loved this tour! And our guide was really great, a safe driver, and squeezed a LOT into the day. Plenty of potty breaks, and we added on Cawdor Castle (for an extra fee) and it was worth it! The Loch Ness was more the surrounding area and all it has to offer. Highly recommend we had a great day!

Drew picked us up on time at an easy to find location. He was very kind and extremely knowledgeable, keeping us entertained with both facts and stories regarding Scottish history. He pointed out many interesting locations along our drive to all the attractions promised and was able to answer any questions we had. The tour itself covered a lot of ground in the short amount of time that we had (due to our time constraints) and was a very enjoyable day. The van was spacious and clean with lots of room for our large group. Would highly recommend.
