Writing this after starting my second part of my Korean Beginner class
John Park is an exceptional Korean teacher at Hana Korean and easily one of the best language instructors I have encountered. His lessons are consistently engaging, well-structured, and highly effective. John has a remarkable ability to explain difficult Korean grammar and expressions in a clear, practical, and memorable way. He is extremely patient, encouraging, and attentive to each student’s individual needs and progress. What truly distinguishes John is his genuine passion for teaching and his ability to make every lesson enjoyable while maintaining a high professional standard. I would highly recommend John to anyone serious about learning Korean.
Great place to learn korean! Small class so everyone gets a chance to practice with 선생님! Teacher Jenny was very patient and will make sure we understand the concepts. She is also very friendly and approachable! All in all, this is a great place to learn korean!

Highly recommend Teacher John Park at Hana Korean Language School! Learning Korean can be intimidating, but John made every single class fun, engaging, and highly interactive. He was incredibly patient with the entire class and always took the time to explain difficult grammar points until everyone understood. His creative teaching style kept the lessons interesting, and his supportive attitude created a wonderful environment for practising speaking and writing Korean. I’ve really enjoyed learning Korean in the class under John Park 선생님. The teacher is encouraging and explains everything clearly. After taking the class for 3 months, I genuinely feel that I improved my Korean improved a lot. I’m now much more confident with reading, basic conversations, and understanding grammar that used to feel difficult. I recommend this class to anyone who wants to improve their Korean!
It was a very unpleasant experience signing up for lessons with this school.
I attended the first lesson but had to miss the second, third, and fourth lessons due to a work trip. I was initially told that videos would be provided for the lessons I missed. However, despite my repeated messages, I received no response for weeks.
When they finally got back to me, I was told I had to pay $54.50 for the videos! How ridiculous is that?? I had no choice but to agree, but once again there was no reply. Three weeks later, after I followed up again, I was informed that the videos would expire within a few days. I couldn't understand how I was expected to complete 9 videos in such a short time.
To their credit, they extended my access by one week. I then requested just three more days because the access period ended before the weekend, when I actually had time to watch them. They agreed but said that the videos would be gradually deleted.
After I made the payment and finally received access, six of the videos were deleted just two days after the expiry date. When I asked why, I was told their storage was full and the videos had to be deleted.
The school offered either a refund of the $54.50 or videos from another class. When I chose the latter, they said they could not provide them due to the privacy of other students, so they refunded the fee instead.
While I appreciate the refund, I ended up paying for lessons that I never got to learn from. The entire experience was frustrating due to the poor communication, long delays in responding, and inflexible policies. This has been the most disappointing experience I've had with a training school in Singapore.

I just wanted to clarify a couple of things about our classes. We keep our group sizes really small, which does raise our costs a bit. Rather than charging higher fees, we work hard to keep our rates competitive. Unfortunately, this means we can't cover some optional costs, like recordings, without increasing our fees. We always want to be fair to all our students, so we’ve made it clear from the beginning that access to recordings is an optional purchase.
There’s a small fee for accessing Zoom recordings because we need to cover the costs of cloud storage and ensure our site follows PDPA policies.
Also, we always make sure to communicate our start and end dates in advance, so it's important for students to manage their schedules accordingly. If you find you can’t make it to a class, just let us know! We’re more than happy to help arrange a one-on-one makeup session.

It was really good and I had Mr. John as my teacher. I was able to improve my korean speaking and reading skills through this class a lot!

Ms Kim Mi Kyung’s lesson is very interactive and it’s amazing how we can start reading in Korean and say basic sentences. She makes lessons very interesting and easy to understand. The hybrid lesson option also makes it more flexible for working adults. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to learn korean.
김미경 선생님 has been nice and patient to teach the basics of the Korean language in and out of the classroom. Have learnt quite a lot over the course of the curriculum
Have been attending Korean Classes for 8 months under Teacher Min and experience has been amazing. She is patient and puts in lots of effort to ensure classes are taught with clarity and at an appropriate pace. Highly recommend to learn Korean here!
