I came in almost by accident after noticing the display in the window looked especially inviting. I ended up trying both the steak and the beef tongue set meal, and everything was deeply satisfying. Even the small side dishes in the set were thoughtfully prepared — the slight acidity balanced the richness of the meal perfectly. I also ordered a sparkling wine that seemed to be locally produced in Japan, and it paired beautifully with the food.
What stayed with me most, though, was the kindness of the two staff members downstairs — a young man and woman who were both genuinely warm and welcoming. I had been feeling a little low during my travels, and somehow their energy and cheerful conversations quietly lifted my mood. Even without understanding Japanese, I could still feel the warmth in the atmosphere they created.
I left the restaurant feeling much lighter and happier than when I walked in, so I wanted to sincerely thank them for that.
10/10! We were actually on our way to another restaurant. But we just had to try hamburger the Japanese way. We were lured in by the yummy smell outside.
The food did not disappoint. We got a conel set and a bone in set. My mouth is watering just thinking back on how delicious it was❤️
We would 100% come back but unfortunately we were in Tokyo for a day trip only.
The hamburg steak itself was wonderfully juicy and well-cooked. Unfortunately, the uni topping tasted noticeably fishy. I suspect it's because sea urchin isn't in season right now, so the quality couldn't match the rest of the dish. I'd love to come back and try this again when uni is at its peak.
Found this absolute gem of a restaurant by pure luck. What a find it is too. The food was amazing and we were able to watch it being prepared and cooked. Fantastic flavours across the board. The servers were great and really helpful and chef does a cracking job with the mains and to die for desserts. Pretty reasonably priced for the quality. Be prepared to wait for a table as it gets REALLY busy but it's worth the wait.
