If you’re looking for in-home dog training, Bruce with Groovy Dogs is your guy! These 90 minute in home sessions and field trips were super helpful with my dog Murphy’s training. We could work on bad behaviors and obedience and ground zero (home) and out in public. Murphy loves Bruce and he developed a great relationship with him from the start showing him lots of love every time they worked together. I had great success with training my dog with Bruce’s techniques and he leaves you with a plan on how to continue the training in your day to day life.

Our puppy Fletcher loves Bruce! This was an amazing experience. If you're looking for a trainer for your dog, I highly recommend working with Bruce at Groovy Dogs. This is my first dog and my boyfriend's first puppy - while we were doing OK with some training we were starting to struggle with consistency, walking him on a leash and not being pulled, etc. We were watching YouTube videos, following training accounts on social media, and getting lots of conflicting messages! Over the last 6 weeks, Bruce's trust-based approach has had a great impact on how we interact with our dog and how he responds! He got to know our dog and adjusted what we were focusing on each week to tailor to his strengths and needs. Plus, he made it more palatable and fun for us and our pup. Through quick 2-minute games throughout the day, we gained consistency with our training and strengthened our bond with our boy. Not only did Fletcher gain a ton of know-how, but we feel so well equipped to reinforce and maintain this training moving forward, and in a way that doesn't feel like training. Thank you Bruce, we can't wait to see you for our graduation field trip!

Bruce is fantastic. My dog, 3 y/o mutt, Sal, is usually very apprehensive around strangers, but he warmed up to Bruce surprisingly quickly, and by the end of our sessions, he absolutely loved him. Bruce’s calm energy, clear communication, and patience made all the difference. We were working on Sal’s on-leash reactivity, and Bruce gave me a ton of practical strategies and tips that I could use day to day. He emphasized that training takes reinforcement and continued effort, and helped me feel confident and equipped to keep the progress going on my own. What really stood out were the “field trips” we took, training sessions in new, more challenging environments that helped Sal build confidence and learn how to stay calm even in unfamiliar situations. We also played some great training games that made learning fun for both of us. I highly recommend Bruce to anyone looking for a thoughtful, effective, and compassionate trainer. He truly understands dogs, and their humans too.

Bruce is Amazing! He clearly loves dogs, and has expertise in caring for and understanding them that makes him a Wonderful trainer. I've no doubt he could help make any dog a wonderful pet, because he is also a gifted trainer of humans! Our (re-homed) puppy had some minor behavioral issues that we couldn't manage on our own. Fortunately, Bruce came to the rescue and helped us train Bogey in a gentle and loving way. Bruce was a great trainer for our golden retriever puppy, Teddy! We did the puppy training with 90-minute sessions at our home for 6 weeks. Teddy was only 10-weeks old when we started the training. Bruce was professional, reliable, and overall a great trainer. Highly recommend!

Mr. treats has become family to us. He has completely changed the way that our dogs walk outside, interact with other dogs and humans, respond and listen to us, and their overall attitudes. Before knowing Mr. treats, our dogs were getting into a lot of trouble and never listened to any of us. We had a great experience with Bruce training our dog Kane. They genuinely developed a relationship and he helped give us framework for how to deal with many of our dog's issues. I enjoy his training style as well as it truly teaches patience and an ethics of having your dog learn more from what they themselves are doing rather than us as owners. His goal was to get us to a point where we would not need to rely on him but he is so kind that he hasn't made us feel like we cannot still contact him if there are lingering issues. Definitely recommend his services.
