I’ve taken our Labradoodle, Chewie, to Vicki for years now, and it honestly feels like visiting a friend. She’s so warm and welcoming, and you can genuinely tell how much she loves what she does. Chewie always comes away looking and smelling immaculate, and I wouldn’t dream of taking him anywhere else. Appointments are always sorted well in advance, and she always goes out of her way to accommodate my schedule. Look no further for a dog groomer—use her once and you’ll see why she’s so highly recommended!

They are both a bit nervy and Milo hates his paws being touched but Vicki does a great job. The boys come out fluffy and clean with a good cut. They smell nice too! Would totally recommend!

He is a very nervous dog but Vicki is so good with him, reassuring him & making sure he is comfortable throughout his appointment. He always comes home perfectly groomed and smelling amazing! I picked my border terrier up to find they had used clippers on his head, he's never been cut with clippers on his head or anywhere else before, because I used to stay with him so I no, and they nicked his head.
The groomers had cuts down their arms because they put him in the bath, he hates the bath, I did not realise they were going to bath him. And any groomer of border terriers knows that you don't bath a border. Also the two women must have really held him down in the bath to get the scratches they got. My beautiful boy is not himself since leaving there his naughty personality has been replaced by a timid dog. I will definitely not be going back and ask that anyone else stops and thinks about using them.
We're sorry to hear you were unhappy after Colins visit, particularly as you seemed pleased with how he looked when you collected him, so this review has come as a surprise to us.
To explain what happened on the day: when we began hand-stripping his head, the coat wouldn't release, which is something we typically only see in coats that have been clipped before. Neutering can also change coat texture. The small mark on his head came from attempting to strip fur that wouldn't come away, not from the clippers. We pointed it out to you ourselves at collection and explained exactly what had happened. At that point on the day, moving to clippers was a judgement call based on our experience as continuing to strip a coat that won't release would have been uncomfortable for him, so clipping was the kindest option. Although, with hindsight we should have phoned you before making that call, and we're sorry we didn't.
On the bath: because preferences vary so much among border terrier owners, we specifically asked beforehand whether you'd like him bathed. At no point did you ask us not to bath him. You told us to do what we normally do, so we followed our usual routine. We also weren't told he disliked baths until collection; had we known, we wouldn't have bathed. He was unsettled in the water and pawed at our arms, which is where the scratches came from, but at no point did we ever hold him down. His comfort guides everything we do.
We'd love the opportunity to put this right, so please do get in touch. We hope he's back to himself very soon.

Vicki has groomed my 2 girls for a long time now, they absolutely love going even my shih tzu who is nervous loves going. Today I took my 18 week old puppy for his 1st groom, a little scare about how he would be! But again he was fine Vicki reassured him and let him see and sniff all the equipment, and he was so happy when I collected him.
