I cannot say enough wonderful things about Samantha Asher! I have autistic twins who struggled trying and eating new things. Samantha took us on, worked hard with my girls, and they are now thriving! She gives great ideas and is willing to come to your home to help in a normal setting. Samantha is always coming up with new ways to help deter our kids from giving up, when a meltdown would start. We absolutely LOVE Samantha and will ALWAYS refer new patients to her!
I have had such a positive experience working with both Samantha and Amanda at Green Light. They both have been very accommodating and creative in order to meet my child's needs. They are great communicators and provide a lot of insight into what we can do at home to help reinforce strategies. I highly recommend Green Light as they have gone above and beyond to support my family!
I had a wonderful experience with Samantha! She helped my extremely picky toddler learn how to accept and enjoy new foods that she had never eaten before. She was so wonderful and played with my daughter so well. She did a great job making us all feel so comfortable without rushing into the process as new foods and feeding problems can be scary for both the parent and the child. She helped me understand so much about my daughters feeding difficulty and what I as a parent can do to best support her. It was overall a great experience and I highly recommend anyone looking for an extremely knowledgeable speech language pathologist.

Our son was a late starter when it came to speech. The Covid lockdown seriously impeded his progress. We called in a pro; Samantha with Green Light. She quickly diagnosed what we as parents needed to do to help our son get talking. She showed us how! Both in person and virtually Samantha connected with our son in a fun way and quickly moved him past the 5 words he was comfortable with and into 2 - 3 word utterances and phrases. We were amazed at how fast it happened. We continued to use the tools she gave us to this day. I highly recommend Samantha and Green Light!
WOW! Samantha is incredible! She worked with my son for both food therapy and speech therapy. She truly goes above and beyond to make sure the patient AND parents are comfortable every single step of the way, gives many unbiased options of treatment with zero pressure, but tons of support for whichever you decide. Samantha is truly knowledgeable of her field and worked closely with each specialist we saw to treat my son to ensure we were comfortable and knew what to expect every step of the way. Extremely professional and reliable - she made herself available to us at all times via text, phone, email and in-person visits.
After 20 months of trying to navigate my son’s eating habits and being brushed off by 5 pediatricians, despite “reflux” as a baby and him never latching told breastfeed, his tongue tie went undiagnosed. Fortunately, we came across Samantha! I could not get my son to eat hardly anything, we had no “safe” foods as go tos, and my mom instinct knew something was off. Doctors kept telling me it’s “normal” for kids his age to be extreme picky eaters, despite his low weight. Within 10 minutes of our consultation Samantha was able to detect a tongue tie and I finally felt some relief getting real answers. Samantha helped us develop a sound plan that my husband and I were comfortable with. Within moments of having his tie released his speech took off and he has become an amazing eater! I am no longer cooking 3 dinners to find something he’ll eat or stressing about him not eating enough! My husband and I are also equipped with tools to help our son continue with his food journey and any bumps he may encounter.
I would recommend her to anyone with kids and concerns in these areas!! She has been an absolute godsend for our entire family.
My toddler was a bit delayed with speech. He met with Samantha once a week for over 4 months and is now speaking more words and phrases that are in line with his age group! The methods used was incorporated into his play led by my child. He enjoyed their sessions and the 1:1 time. We got feed back immediately after their session and were given things we could do at home to help move things along. Samantha also had the session at his daycare. It was very convenient as my husband and I work full time. I would recommend Green Light as it has helped our family. Thank you!

As a black man born in the Caribbean and is hard of hearing, I felt taken care of and reassured with my insecurities around my speech. As a socially conscious person, she works diligently to address my difficulties with pronunciations, organizing my thoughts and statements, and advocating to be heard and to hear others.
I came on board as a 27 years old black man who thought of himself as a failure that took too long to work on my speech.
Let me tell you something: IT IS NEVER TOO LATE! I'm twenty-eight now, and I am excited to take the next step of working on my presentation skills to pursue my career goals and further my personal skills.
Samantha has been working with my daughter on her expressive speech for a couple months now. I have seen such a drastic change in her. My daughter went from being very quiet and not forming long sentences to talking more all around and using proper and longer sentences in just a couple months. For my other daughter, who had difficulty articulating some sounds, Samantha suggested I see an orthodontist, and she was right on. She now has an expander and is saying all her letters appropriately. Samantha is one of a kind. The best.
Samantha completed a screener for my 20 month old son and she was the best to work with! She was thorough and gave tips and tricks to implement. She took personalized time to talk me through everything. I can’t recommend Green Light Speech and Language enough! They are wonderful to work with!
We very much enjoyed working with Samantha. We engaged her when my son was around 20 months old and wasn't saying anything. She taught him how to use some ASL (some of which he still uses today) to help him communicate with us. Most importantly, when it became apparent that virtual sessions was too hard for my son given list lack of attention span, Samantha encouraged me to reach out to our state's early intervention and walked me through the process of getting an evaluation. They hadn't done an in-person evaluation since pre-COVID but I was able to request the eval and actual sessions be done in person thanks in large part to the tips Samantha gave me. I sincerely appreciated her guidance on how to advocate for what my son needed, as well as being honest about what was and was not working. Would highly recommend!
Samantha has been a pleasure to work with. As an SLP myself, I had very high standards and she surpassed them all. She addressed all my concerns professionally and emphatically. She was honest from the start and provided treatment during spring/summer 2021. We saw tremendous gains with Samatha and sad to see her leave the state. Any child would be lucky to have her as their speech therapist.
I've been working with Samantha for a little bit and she has been super helpful in working on my voice. She explains things well and is a great teacher. Even in the short time I've been working with her I've noticed improvement in how my voice sounds. She is also LGBTQ friendly and is a great option for trans people looking to change their voice. Highly recommended!
Working with Samantha Asher and Green Light Speech and Language was wonderful. I highly, highly recommend her. Not only did she take time to answer all my questions prior to evaluating my son, but she called our insurance for us, called the school district, and advocated on our behalf. She empowered me to speak up for my son and what services he needed. Her speech evaluation was thorough but also fun, and my son loved it. It is really obvious that Samantha truly cares about what is best for families and clients. I highly recommend!
