Danke 🙏🏻 😎🤩

Cold but completely worth it
Now that I think about it, I would've regretted not booking this.At first, I didn’t see anything but the dark. Then suddenly the lights showed up and everyone went quiet. We stood there with cocoa in hand, no noise, just nature showing off. I call that a perfect night.

Lights and laughter
We laughed a lot during the ride and were speechless under the sky. They even took our pics, free of cost. Amazingg experience with lovely people.

Loved the small group
The space was open, the view was great, and it felt personal with fewer people around—just perfect........!!!!!!!!!!

What we experienced was magic
Looking back now, that night in the middle of nowhere, the sky lit up and we all just stood still. Pure wonder. Then the sky suddenly came alive—stars brighter than I’d ever seen, scattered across a vast, inky canvas.

Booked the Katla Ice Cave tour thinking I’d be stepping into one of Iceland’s famous glacier caverns. What I got instead? A short, dark ice tunnel with a couple of floor lights — basically something between a freezer aisle and a drainage pipe. Spoiler: it looked nothing like the pictures they use to sell the tour.
When I asked about it, the guide casually mentioned the “main cave” collapsed 8 months ago. Cool cool… would’ve been great info to have before paying for the experience.
If you enjoy overpriced bait-and-switch experiences and being told “Mother Nature changes, what can we do?” as an excuse for poor communication, this is the tour for you.
Otherwise, maybe spend your money somewhere that actually shows you what you paid for.

Unforgettable beautiful
The tour begins with a spectacular drive through a lunar landscape, led by a professional, local guide named Gunnar, who shares everything about Katla and the surrounding nature. You stop at a beautiful viewpoint and are greeted by the ice cave from Foxi, the Arctic fox. Then, you enter the interior of a glacier, where you can drink the purest water in the world, surrounded by centuries-old ice. It's an unforgettable experience! 100% worth it!

Unique experience
The guide was so informative and passionate, and when we got to the glacier, a colleague was also there and was just as friendly and passionate. The scenery on the way out was amazing, like something out of a space movie. In fact, a scene from Star Wars had been filmed there. We saw an artic fox that meets the jeep hoping for food. A definite must do activity

Frozen Maze Thrill
I had no idea what we were in for. The black volcanic sand gave way to a vast white expanse, then we entered the cave. What surprised me was how quiet it felt. It was pure, chilly magic. LOL, I'd do it again

We went on the Katla Ice Cave tour from Vik with Tate and it was absolutely amazing! He had so many cool facts about Iceland and we made some stops along the way to see some cool spots. It was just our group at the part of the cave and was truly magical. We even saw an artic fox before we left. Would absolutely recommend!

Very entertaining and informative.
Tate or guide was awesome. He clearly does this for his love of nature and meeting people as he gave up a well paid job in aviation to do it. Great sense of humour and a mine of information.

Surreal Blue Hues
We followed their lead into the depths, and that glacial blue took my breath away. TBH, I never expected to see something so vibrantly cold. The off-road drive was just as exciting, bouncing us around in the best way

Chilly but Thrilling
OMG that icy corridor was beautifull. Our guide was so funny, I almost forgot the cold. If I'm honest, riding off-road felt like an action movie scene

We did the Katla Ice Cave tour out of Vik and had an amazing time! We got lucky and were the only two on the morning tour. Tate was amazing and made us feel like we were getting to see the sites with our local friend. The views were amazing even on an over cast rainy day and Tate took his time talking to us and pointing out all the little things we would have otherwise missed. It was a very special experience that I would recommend to anyone!

Our Frosty Adventure
Let me break it down: the off-road drive was bumpy but super cool. Then we saw those blue arches inside the ice. If I'm honest, it felt otherworldly

Did Not Expect That Glow
Our group was small, which made it feel super personal. The off-road drive was bouncy enough to keep us laughing. Then came the real surprise: those blue tunnels lit up like neon when our guide shone a beam across them. NGL, I've never taken so many photos in such a short time. To be fair, every angle showed something new and jaw-dropping, especially near the glacier's entrance 🔥

Now that I think about it, cruising off-road to those frosty passages felt like exploring another planet. The guide shared fun facts about volcanos, then led us into shimmering walls of ice. It was awesome, and we captured so many epic photos

Our Epic Day
Let me tell you, stepping inside that frozen cave was like stepping into a hidden kingdom. The 4WD part was a riot, bouncing over rocks while we giggled. I used to think ice was just ice, but these walls proved me wrong

Like a Hidden Wonderland
I have to admit, I was scared at first. The drive was wild, and the idea of walking under a glacier made me nervous. But as soon as we stepped inside, that fear turned into pure awe. Our guide showed us safe spots to stand, and I noticed water dripping from overhead. That subtle dripping sound felt oddly calming. I realized I'd never experience something like this anywhere else.
