I had a fantastic time climbing with a fun group of people and excellent guides (Ann and Stone) this weekend at Queen Creek. It was my second time ever climbing outdoors! I met my climbing goals, had fun and I received clear instructions refreshing me on belaying, safety, climbing skills and more. By the end of the trip I climbed all the way to the top of Ali Cat! It was way farther and higher than I ever climbed. Overall, it was a great adventure and it was easy since we had our guides who helped us every step of the way, from getting our gear, to setting up the ropes and motivating me that I could do more than I thought was possible. I highly recommend Granite Mountain Guides!

My 14 yr old enjoyed his alpine rock skills course with Mike as a guide. Very informative and lots of practical skill building. We highly recommend Granite Mountain Guides for learning or enjoyable climbing adventures.

My 10yr old and I had an experience of a lifetime on a guided rock climbing trip with Granite Mountain Guides. Our instructor, Mike reached out a day early with some helpful tips and reminders to prep us beforehand. He was amazing. Very knowledgeable and a passionate climber and teacher. Exactly what we needed fo a first time climb experience. He was very calm and encouraging as my daughter and I were climbing. At one time my daughter's foot got stuck in the rocks and Mike calmly talked her through how to get it unstuck. Helped build her confidence and she couldn't wait to do it again! And oh, the best part, Megan surprised us with a bday package for my kiddo, making the experience extra special. We highly recommend these guys and can't wait to go back.

Recently did a day climbing trip in the Granite Dells with Ann and had an absolutely amazing time. GMG puts on the best outings. They go out of their way to make the day accessible and fun for everyone no matter the climbing level. Ann ran around putting up any climbing we expressed interest in. She had snacks. I really cant say enough!

We had an amazing day rock climbing with our 6 and 7 year old children. Our guide Stone was great with the kids. The location was very scenic with easy access and had great routes for both the kids and adults. I’d definitely do it again.

We had the best time climbing at Watson Lake with Stone as our guide (a 16-year-old and his 56-year-old mom)! After booking, we had to change our scheduled day and Granite Mountain Guides was very responsive and accommodating. Stone emailed detailed info in advance on what to bring and where to meet. We have climbed outside with guides at other companies in other places and have always had positive experiences, but Stone was definitely our favorite guide so far! He was skilled, knowledgeable and efficient and we immediately felt at ease due to his confident, friendly, and encouraging manner. Stone seemed as happy to be there as we were and provided clear instructions, lots of positive feedback and took some great pictures for us. We always felt safe and in good hands, from finding routes that suited our skill level to judging the changing weather. Thanks for a super fun day and we can’t wait to do it again the next time we visit Prescott!

We had a great time with granite mountain. Zach was a great guide and was very knowledgeable personal and professional. Weather was good and the routes chosen were perfect. Would definitely recommend them to someone learning how to lead climb. He gauges your experience and comfort level and adjusts accordingly.

What an incredible day climbing!! I found Granite through a google search and saw the positive reviews so was very excited they could book my first AZ climb with such short notice. From the email communications ahead of time, answering all my questions and concerns in a timely and thoughtful way to the 4 hours I spent slab climbing on one of the hottest days of the week I was in town, I could not have been happier with the service. Stone was my guide and he was kind, knowledgeable and patient. I never felt worried at all about my safety and his ability to teach me new approaches to the tricky climbs was incredible. He was even thoughtful enough to bring an extra sun shirt for me when I told him I didn’t have one. As a beginner climber I often find instruction overwhelming since everything is so new. Stone broke down the strategies in an easy digestible way and celebrated all of my successes. I felt proud of how I climbed and the experience was wonderful! I was out for 4 hours and had the best time! It was a perfect day!!
