Horrible hotel - don’t go there , don’t book. For medical reasons with doctor note we had to cancel the reservation for tomorrow. That booked in advance a few months ago. The hotel , including the manager don’t care about any medical reasons. They don’t want to cancel for refund. You lost all your money. Not human. Horrible service. Disgusting. I’m IHG Diamond elite member.
Everything was so nice, and the receptionists were nice!! Everyone INSIDE the hotel is super nice and accommodating. HOWEVER, when we went to the beach behind the hotel. The security guard that was associated with the hotel was super rude and just racist. My parents and I are Asian. This security guy confronted us and told us a seat outside costs “seven five”. We were fine with paying $7.50, but then he said he meant $75 and asked us if we even spoke English abruptly. We have been speaking to him in English the entire time. He was so rude and just overall a raging prick.
I don’t even know where to start about this magical place. Easily one of the best vacations of my life. This place infuses wellness and fun into your stay so naturally, I took advantage of everything from complimentary yoga classes to daily social hours with snacks and wine to the morning coffee and tea bar. The staff are simply wonderful, not overbearing but always there when you need them.
Perhaps my favourite part was the lovely long wooden path with benches through the forest to access the beach from the bungalows. The view from those benches was healing, and I spent hours sitting there looking out at the water among the lizards, birds, and agoutis.
If you are still reading know that every part of this resort is divine, and if you can afford to treat yourself book a stay without hesitation. The food was also excellent (like, every single dish 10/10), there was always a chair by the beach or pool, and Roatan is a wonderful place to visit with a lot of heart!
I didn't stay here, we visited the bar and played on the pool table. Service was great and we looked over the resort to see if we would make future plans to stay. I think we will on another vacation.
The best thing was I forgot my travel bag and when I returned they had found it and brought it to the front desk. Everything was intact, nothing missing. You won't get that at other places.
Thank you staff you saved my vacation. Just that alone is why I'd like to return to Roatán
Best Couples Massage Ever.
We had a couples massage and it was outstanding. I've had massages all over the world and I can honestly say this was the best. Nixa and Beverlin were our massage therapist. Worth every cent. The atmosphere is amazing and you get the use of the entire spa for the day. I would do this again in a heart beat.
Best beach splurge!
Absolutely loved it here! The beach was spectacular and staff is amazing. The hotel is spacious and luxurious but still feels intimate. Activities with Joshua were a blast. And drinks with Devin were tasty. I am most certainly coming back!!!!

Every morning, we were greeted with the most breathtaking view right from our room, endless shades of Caribbean blue stretching toward the horizon. Sunrises and sunsets here feel like scenes from a movie. It was impossible not to stop and soak it all in.
At the pool, Byron was an absolute standout. He made every afternoon relaxing, fun, and personalized. His kindness and attention made us feel completely cared for. And Terrista, the talented bartender, made some of the best cocktails we’ve ever tasted, her positive energy and warm personality made every visit to the bar a joy.
The resort is beautiful, the food is delicious, the snorkeling steps from shore is incredible, but it’s the extraordinary staff who make this place truly special.

I stayed at this hotel for a week with my hubby for his 40th birthday. Beside the hotel being super clean,modern , with great ocean view and lot of high end amenities, the Stafff was the highlight of this place! I forgot how good it feels to have outstanding customer service!! The entire staff was attentive,cheerful, accomodating, which made the stay truly memorable. Another highlight was the sunset!! magical!!, this beachfront property offers great ways to enjoy the sunset whether is from their beachfront restaurants, terrace, the lounge chairs, the pool or simply a romantic walk on the beach.We had a great Zen time there!! Special shout out to Christofer, Dominic, the breakfast staff and the drop off bar crew!
We recently returned from an incredible stay at the Kimpton Grand Roatán, and I can genuinely say the staff made this one of our most memorable vacations ever. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, every single employee we interacted with was warm, friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel cared for.
The rooms in the main building are modern, clean, and beautifully updated. The property itself is lush and relaxing, with plenty of space to unwind. The beach is gorgeous, and the snorkeling right in front of the hotel blew us away. Clear water, vibrant coral, and tons of sea life just steps from the sand. We never expected the reef to be that good for just walking in from the shore.
Dining on-site was consistently good, and the overall atmosphere around the resort felt welcoming and calm. But truly, what made this stay exceptional were the people who work there. The entire staff operates at a level of service that you simply don’t see everywhere. Everyone was kind, attentive, and seemed genuinely happy to help with anything we needed.
A special mention goes to the front desk manager, Wixa (apologies if the spelling isn’t correct). He checked in on us several times throughout our stay and made sure everything was perfect. His professionalism, kindness, and willingness to go the extra mile transformed our trip from a good one into a fantastic one. He’s a standout employee and a huge asset to the resort.
Overall, we had an outstanding experience and left feeling grateful for such a wonderful vacation. Kimpton Grand Roatán is a beautiful property, but it’s the staff who make it truly unforgettable. We would absolutely return.

Beautiful property with friendly and attentive staff. The main building and spa building are about 2 years old and have beautiful rooms.
The restaurants are also great - the Alera breakfast buffet is outstanding and decently priced.
Sea Cat has decent pizzas and casual fare. But they close at 9:00pm and you may feel rushed if you arrive after 8:00pm.
Note: there are many stairs around this property so that may be difficult for people with mobility issues.

Amazing hotel, would visit again.
This hotel is amazing! A gorgeous property with everything you need to have a great vacation, onsite. It’s easy to leave the property walking on the beach, paying cash for a water taxi, hiring a taxi, or taking the airport shuttle to west end each evening. However with the three restaurants on site, there’s really no need to leave. The room was super nice, unfortunately there was a hot tub above our room that was really loud sometimes. Also unfortunately the door lock to our room was broken which got really frustrating. The room was super clean. The windows weren’t clean due to the constant rain, but the view was amazing and I loved the private balcony. The staff is really friendly, personable, and wants you to have a great stay. The fruit trays were my favorite! The food isn’t anything to write home about but it is super good and just enough variety to eat on property for a whole week. I loved the chia pudding in the morning. I loved the Sea Cat for the ocean views and the fresh pizza. The hotel spa facilities were 10/10 do not miss. Also some fun items in the spa shop. The hotel pools were fun. There was an amazing activity desk where you could check out kayaks, snorkels and flippers. I LOVED this! So fun. If you’re not placed in the main building you might spend a lot of time walking around the property.
