This was our first time building a house and we chose to build with Grand Endeavor Homes (GEH). GEH made the whole process easy and smooth.
We worked with Matt on planning and budgeting. He looked at 2 lots that we were considering purchasing and gave us an analysis of both lots and the pros and cons of building on each. He was patient in answering all of our questions and so easy to work with.
We worked with Kristen on interior design and she made the process fun and stress free. She had great suggestions and brought our ideas to life and didn't hesitate to make any changes we asked for.
Phil was our building superintendent and he was absolutely amazing to work with! He was patient and kind and alleviated our stresses when we were worried about the building process. He made the process fun and the end result is our dream home!

Be very cautious and ask questions about the cabinetry in the house during your design meeting. While the majority of our house was beautifully built by Grand Endeavor, the cabinetry is sub par and did not last 1 year.

To be honest, I don’t think Grand Endeavors realizes what a smoking gun they have in their New Braunfels team. Tyler Reiff and his crew are absolute rockstars—full stop.
I’m a soon-to-be retired veteran who has always wanted to settle in Texas. Coming from California, that’s a tall logistical order. Originally, I planned to meet with a builder from K.C. Customs Homes in April 2024, but after months of planning, the meeting fell through. Frustrated, I happened to look next door and found the number for Grand Endeavors. Within an hour, I was shaking hands with their representative, Tyler Reiff, and the entire course of my home-building journey changed.
From the moment we met, Tyler showed a level of respect, passion, and knowledge that set him apart. He wasn’t just trying to sell me something—he genuinely wanted to understand my vision for a home. He walked me through the neighborhood, gave a history of the company, and guided me to the perfect plot of land with an incredible view. What impressed me most was how he made my family feel like more than just clients. In less than two hours, we identified a lot, placed a down payment, and began planning the home.
The timeline of the project reflects just how efficient and communicative the team was. On April 27, 2024, I met with Tyler and placed the down payment on our plot. Construction officially began on November 1, 2024, and on August 15, 2025, I was handed the keys. From introduction to move-in, the process took just sixteen months—impressive considering I was managing everything from across the country.
A large part of that success came from four individuals: Tyler, his assistant Trisha, Laurie Lampert, and Rodney Roybal. Tyler remained in constant communication throughout the process, answering questions and guiding me through decisions big and small. Supporting him was Trisha, whose behind-the-scenes coordination kept everything on track. She ensured meetings, paperwork, and follow-ups happened on time, and her organization freed Tyler up to focus on the personal side of guiding us through the process. Together, they made a seamless team.
Laurie managed the financing side with expertise, helping me secure the construction loan and later guiding me into the conversion. Even with the time difference, she always responded quickly and never left me in the dark. She has a rare ability to resolve issues that would overwhelm most people, and she consistently eased my stress.
The biggest credit, however, goes to Rodney, the Project Manager and Superintendent. Rodney was everything you want in someone overseeing your build: professional, meticulous, and deeply invested in the outcome. He anticipated potential issues before they arose, offered better design solutions, and kept me informed every step of the way. Rodney went above and beyond by sending detailed photos, outlining weekly plans, and providing constant updates. For an out-of-state buyer, his overcommunication was invaluable. He is, without question, the gold standard and an asset Grand Endeavors should recognize and replicate.
The design phase was the only part that proved challenging. The design studio was open only on weekdays, which created issues for me balancing work, time zones, and family commitments. Many sessions had to happen over FaceTime or through text, which sometimes led to miscommunication. Fortunately, Rodney’s attention to detail helped smooth over those gaps and kept the build on track.
For future improvement, I recommend Grand Endeavors adopt new practices to support out-of-state buyers. Drone walkthroughs would allow for clear, real-time updates on progress. Extending design studio hours into weekends would reduce stress and wasted time. Providing a 3D digital model of the home during the design phase would also help ensure everyone is aligned.
Finally, Grand Endeavors should recognize that Tyler, Trisha, Laurie, and Rodney are the gold standard and use their approach as a model across the company.

Much of that was thanks to our construction superintendent, Kyler Payne, who facilitated our long-distance build.
