GRAMEX replaced our front concrete steps and railings, and we also got a new front door. We purchased a fiberglass door, so we do not need a storm door any more. There is a beautiful window in the door, and the new railings give a whole new look to the front of our house!

We are incredibly happy with the work Great American Exteriors did on our house. We contacted multiple companies asking for help with our Tudor style home. Our old stucco boards from the late 70’s were crumbling apart due to moisture and age. Majority of the companies just told us that it would be easier and cheaper to just replace our stucco boards with siding. Great American was one of the few that knew exactly what it was we wanted and was able to familiarize us with the materials and process. Everyone we worked with was awesome from the initial sit down, to bringing us samples of materials and colors, to the crew that worked on the house. Everyone was knowledgeable and responsive and the cost was very reasonable for the amount of work done. The quality of the work is fantastic and the crew was amazing and helped answer or address any concerns we had. It was a huge project but Great American made the whole experience smooth and as stress free as possible. Very happy we went with this company. The final product looks great and we are incredibly happy that we found a company that was as enthusiastic as we were about keeping the original Tudor style look of our home. Highly recommended!

Great American did a great job. We struggled to find a company who could do our porch addition. Gramex Helped with the design, permitting and financing. The construction went smooth and came out fantastic they also replaced the front door

I had the same experience as a few others seem to have had. I Scheduled an appt for an estimate for Monday, May 11th at 10am, was told repeatedly that both decision makers needed to be home. I received a call about 1.5 hours before my appt confirming we were still on, then received a call about 20 minutes after that saying they were overbooked and can we pick a new day. I told them I'd need to figure out what works and they just say ok call us back on this number when you figure it out. Text and call logs attached.
In my experience, bad scheduling and poor communication on the front end are indicative of the work that can be expected throughout a job.

Worked till they were right and a good fit. Finished all areas with sealer. Did a great job cleaning up.

I scheduled an in-home estimate with this company for today at noon. During the initial call, I was specifically told that both decision-makers needed to be present, so my wife rearranged her entire workday to be home, and I left downtown Chicago early to make sure I was there on time.
The appointment wasn’t just casually set—it was confirmed multiple times throughout the week, including a final confirmation yesterday at 10:20 AM. There was absolutely no ambiguity about the timing.
Then, just 1 hour and 15 minutes before the appointment, after I had already left the city and was on my way home, I received a call saying they were “overbooked” and asking to reschedule for next week.
At that point, the inconvenience had already occurred. Time had been committed, schedules were adjusted, and travel was already in progress—all based on their confirmed appointment.
If a company cannot manage something as basic as honoring a confirmed sales appointment—especially after emphasizing the importance of our availability—it raises serious concerns about how they would handle an actual project, timelines, and communication once they have your business.
Also worth noting: when reading other reviews, I noticed the owner often responds to complaints by saying “we never did work for this person.” That may be technically true—but in cases like mine, the reason no work was done is because the company failed to show up in the first place.
A company doesn’t get a pass on accountability simply because the job never started.
Based on this experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering scheduling with them.

I had the best experience working with Great American Exteriors! I had my very old siding replaced with brand new vinyl siding and it turned out beautiful!!!! Joe came out and got the process started. He was very patient and helped me through everything!! Langston was great to work with on the office side and the team who actually did my project were so wonderful! Polite and professional and got the job done to my complete satisfaction!! I highly recommend Great American Exteriors!!

GRAMEX transformed the front of our house! We had the red brick painted white and colonial style wooden posts replaced with squared white composite posts.The front door is so much nicer than anything you could get at home improvement store. The door is high quality, custom made and we were able to have one color on the outside and a different one on the inside. We replaced the side panel windows which now let in more light and tie in with the door to make the door actually look bigger. The work is beautiful and everyone was great to work with and professional. I like that they have been working with the company for years and take pride in their work. I definitely recommend them.
