Top quality service I joined GP Direct in October 2023 due to my address change. It was the best move. I would like to emphasise that I am greatly impressed with the credentials and professionalism of the healthcare management and medical staff. My special thanks and admiration for Dr. Umar Khan, who not only diagnosed medical conditions I presented to him in person, but also then organised, along with his colleagues, the diagnostic procedures. The care and quality of service provided by Dr. Khan is beyond my expectations. Mr. G. Kundra

Eastcote Surgery I had previously tried to have a smear test at the Welbeck Road practice and unfortunately, the nurse there 'couldn't find my cervix'. After much prodding, probing, coughing, changing leg position and placing my hands beneath my lower back, my cervix was nowhere to be seen. I left the practice in tears and a new appointment arranged for a couple of weeks later at the Eastcote surgery. As you can imagine, I was not looking forward to the appointment. However, after explaining my concerns and anxieties following the first appointment, Nurse Mairead reassured me that she would take her time and more importantly, was confident that she would and could 'find my cervix'. I can happily say, after asking me to sit at the end of the bed, and lie back, (I've never been told to get into this postion) Nurse Mairead surely did find my cervix, and at her first attempt!!!! I left the practice without a tear in my eyes and all my anxiety had disappeared. If smear tests were conducted in this way, I'm sure I would not delay going to the doctors for regular smear tests. Nurse Mairead many, many thanks. You are truly a blessing to women who have been traumatised in the past by smear tests.

awful practice rude unprofessional receptionists this is the worst general practice I've ever encountered where noone actually cares about the patient! don't know how they are allowed to operate. rude receptionists have to wait an hr on hold to speak to a human being then call drops amd noone calls u back. also if they actually did their job u wouldn't need to call but because they keep messing up my medications amdreferrals i hwve to keep calling and wasting hrs on the phone only to get reception who says they will pass message and someone will get back to me but they never doso again have to phone going round and round on merry go round getting nowhere
     
Complaint Complaint I called yesterday 11th Dec 2022 morning for an appointment either in person or telephone as I was suffering from very high temperature and extremely painful throat. I was told someone will call me. No one called me yesterday and when I called today 12th December at 8.30 am I am told there are no appointments and the earliest telephone appointment is for Friday 17th! ( that is after 8 days of being unwell) My symptoms started on last Friday but thinking it might be a just a flu I did not want bother the GP unnecessarily and have been taking paracetamol. But as the temperature was not coming down and I was feel really unwell I called on Monday 11th December only to be told that I cannot even speak to a doctor until Friday. Seriously, GP direct should not keep on registering new patients if they cannot provide the service their patients deserve. Very disappointing!

Very poor service. Long waits on the phone to be connected.receptionist will not give you an appointment straight away - even if it is not for the same day. Had to call back and be told that I can’t see the doctor and then received a text later in the evening for a telephone appointment with the doctor for after 5 days. Whole system doesn’t make sense and after almost 20 years with this practice it’s safe to say that this is the worst experience. Will be making a formal complaint for sure.

I just had a bad experience with GP direct. I called this morning and after 10 mins on hold I spoke to a lovely lady, who assessing my case listed it as 'Urgent' and said I will have a call back from a doctor. I've asked for a more specific timeframe, but she said she was unable to tell me precisely at what time of that day, or perhaps the day after. I received another phone call only a couple of hours later which only lasted a few minutes, and that's when the doctor tried to call me and obviously could not get through to me. I received a message, saying they've been trying to call and to contact the surgery back if I still needed them. Of course, I did! Called the surgery again, another 15 mins on the line..waiting. A rude receptionist answers the phone and just tells me my prescription waits for me at the pharmacy. No explanation as to what am I going to get, or why, or where. I said that I'm not comfortable in taking a medicine without speaking to a doctor first, and that I was waiting for a call today, but unluckily they called whilst I was briefly on the phone. She says the first available appointment is next week. I explain that I wouldn't want to wait until next week (why the other lady considered my case 'urgent' then?..) She says 'We gave you a call and you didn't answer, we can't sit around all day waiting for patients to answer our calls'. While I partially understand that, I think it would be only decent allowing at least a couple of attempts especially when you don't give a specific timeframe!! I can't control who calls me during a whole day (or for days) especially if I have to answer to any Unknown number just in case it might the doctor! Not a great service overall, but also not the best customer service and rude way of dealing with customers over the phone. I'm giving two stars, because whilst I've had a good experience with them in the past, since their service became predominately over the phone or online I don't feel comfortable anymore knowing they are supposed to be looking after my health.

Good GP practice. Been with them over 10 years. Get sent a reminder for a yearly health check up. Clinical pharmacist did a health review recently and offered tips on maintaining good health. Highly recommend.

Monday morning 8 am today I call GP direct for an appointment either a telephone consultation or in person- with a doctor/nurse/ pharmacist whoever was available as I was suffering from a lot of pain in my kidney over the weekend. I have been offered a telephone appointment for Wednesday 29th! Very disappointing

The registration lady has no manners not pleased at all. She needs to be replaced, the only fault in this practice seems to be her as per other patients as well. Doctors are very kind and reception staff are generally very good

How frustrated when you waited for 10 minutes and the reception picked up the phone but the line cuts immediately. And its not the first time. Otherwise I think this GP practice is alright.

The doctors at this surgery are excellent and have looked after my health extremely well for the 6 years I have lived in Harrow. I have always been seen quickly and been given first class care. I can’t thank them enough and I hope the doctors where I am moving to are as good as these.

STAY AWAY!!! Have continuously “forgotten” to call back especially when it came to my mental health. Have also forgotten to refer me to another clinic after they said they would. Wait time is ridiculous. Absolutely no care for their patients. Will be changing gp asap!!!

I went there recently and treated by dr.Umar Khan.he is one of the best doctors there.very kind and humble.most of all he listened to me.(which is not happening normally )
