I called yesterday 11th Dec 2022 morning for an appointment either in person or telephone as I was suffering from very high temperature and extremely painful throat. I was told someone will call me. No one called me yesterday and when I called today 12th December at 8.30 am I am told there are no appointments and the earliest telephone appointment is for Friday 17th! ( that is after 8 days of being unwell)
My symptoms started on last Friday but thinking it might be a just a flu I did not want bother the GP unnecessarily and have been taking paracetamol. But as the temperature was not coming down and I was feel really unwell I called on Monday 11th December only to be told that I cannot even speak to a doctor until Friday.
Seriously, GP direct should not keep on registering new patients if they cannot provide the service their patients deserve.
Very disappointing!
