Unfortunately for my case, Goouldson drastically over promised and significantly under delivered on the day. At no point was the final offer of less than 10% of the initial offer submitted even talked about with me until I was forced to accept it or be dumped by the legal team. Wasn’t expecting miracles, I remained realistic with my offer and case. My outcome was still better than zero but for 3 years I was led to believe it would be much better than the final result I was awarded. They should have sought the barristers opinion prior to conference and been much more upfront about my cases prospects. I ended up almost 5 times better off via my TPD insurance than I did with my whole claim to which they wanted 30% and did it privately for 5 times less than their fee If I had to recommend them again for common law or a TPD claim I would not. Saying that the team had been fantastic to deal with, they just didn’t deliver on the day and at no point prior to mediation told me I would loose if I didn’t accept the final written offer.

I hoped to never find myself in such a situation where I needed it, but Gouldson Legal was there to support me in my time of need. I'd like to thank Kaine for the abundant hours of work he put in. His thoughtful and compassionate approach towards my claim allowed me to understand and navigate an unfamiliar world. 3.5 years ago I was involved in a car accident that, little did I know then, would change the trajectory of my life. As with a lot of psychological injuries mine took over my life at a rate of knots which I couldn’t keep up with. Workcover QLD encouraged me to engage a personal injury lawyer to be on the safe side, not knowing what my future held I decided to Google and I phoned the first two numbers that came up.
