Excellent store, great variety, but terrible service. I was fully intending to buy several items, including a pair of shoes. The staff didn’t even bother to help — I practically had to beg for attention. To top off the lack of service, they even left the security tag on the item I purchased.

Attended 05/10/25 looking for a putter. Poor stock availability. Chap on the desk very unhelpful, not rude but passive and not proactive to help. More interested in being on his phone which was I went up stairs you could see he was checking the bets he had placed on football. Will not be returning.

I gave my Cobra King 5 iron to be reshafted- which as per the staff had to be sent to the manufacturer.
Today it’s been 5 weeks and when I called the store, they still didn’t have an update. They always say they will call back with an update and never do.
I always have to callback the next day and even then they don’t have any update. There have been times where I’ve gone straight to voicemail and couldn’t get in touch with anyone at the store.
They should compensate for this kind of inconvenience. I had to pay £40 upfront and I was told it would be a “couple of weeks, could be 3” and I only started following up after 3 weeks. Not acceptable.

Shockingly poor after sales service. Bought a carry golf bag (TaylorMade) and one of the legs broke after less than 6 months. Took the bag back to American Golf but they claimed that I had caused damage to the leg and that this was the cause of it breaking, which it wasn't - I had always transported it in a protective overbag. Took the side of the manufacturer rather than their own customer and declined to replace the bag or even offer a discount on a replacement. I would not recommend anyone buy from them unless it is a low value item where you are not worried about asking for a replacement or refund if it is defective or breaks.

At American Golf we take our after-sales service very seriously and appreciate your feedback, unfortunately damage to items aren't covered by the warranties we offer, they do however cover faults that occur due to the manufacturing of the item.
If you feel the fault has occurred due to the manufacturing process please return to one of our stores with this message, we will happily send the bag to Taylormade for a final decision.
