We did not know the idiosyncrasy of charging lead/acid batteries. In a short amount of time, plugging and unplugging our cart, we weakened the batteries.
Adam and Matt presented us with three fix-it options. We chose to replace the batteries with a lithium-ion one.
Adam and Matt are knowledgeable, gracious, and funny.
We are totally confident that choosing the highest-priced fix-it alternative was the correct one. We know for our money, we are in great hands

Go Go Batteries did an exceptional job at adding new lights, blinkers and brake lights, to my older golf cart. After the father and son team worked tirelessly in extreme heat of over 104 heat index, the 1990 golf cart looked fantastic and got a new lease on life. Now it was street legal. They arrived on time and had so many tools in their truck. They removed all garbage after they were done. Both have an extremely strong work ethic. I was pleased to work with them after having worked with so many vendors who lack the discipline and knowledge of what they are hired to do. They deserve the highest of marks on this review.

We were gifted a 2005 Yamaha G22E Model Golf Cart from a dear friend’s family. The cart had not been driven for years, so it needed new batteries, gauge cables, a good cleaning and an expert diagnostic look over. So, we researched and contacted GOGO Batteries, and are so glad we did. This family owned and operated business was a delight to work with and took great care installing new batteries and accessories. In fact, we were so pleased, we called Adam and Matt again to install customized turn signals, brakes lights, hazards, a horn and battery level indicator which they did in no time. The lighting and signals proved challenging due to the cart only having wiring for the front and back light, but they quickly found a solution. Everything works perfectly and looks great! Bought used Yamaha golf cart which worked fine for close to 4 years. Needed new batteries called go go. They installed same. That very same day went to play 9 holes with another couple, cart died on 7th hole. They came back to inspect, pulled on positive battery cable which pulled right out of terminal. I believe this created the extra resistance and heat which killed the controller! They claim it was bad controller. Funny never had problems with controller until batteries changed! Buyer beware!
Response: 1 Yes the needed components were installed which cost me more than the new batteries. 2 One year 5 and months later not 2 years I contacted you because I was having battery problem. You promptly came over to check batteries. You said they were fine. I was still having problems with overcharging. Took cart to dealer to check concerns. Two days later after they did hard battery test they said I had a bad battery . Still had problem. 3 Didn’t want to sell cart with problem to individual. Go Go knew the batteries and parts they installed. Offered cheap price just to get rid of it. If was running flawlessly as they post I would still have it.

Your golf cart is a 2006 model, and the speed controller was the original factory unit, meaning it had been in use for well over 17 years. Old, weak batteries can put stress on the speed controller, and installing new strong batteries can potentially cause issues if the controller is already weakened or damaged. Here’s how:
1. Stress from Weak Batteries – When batteries degrade, they provide inconsistent voltage, causing the speed controller to work harder to compensate. This can lead to overheating, increased current draw, and wear on internal components over time.
2. Sudden Voltage Increase from New Batteries – If the controller has been running under lower voltage for a long time and is already weakened, a sudden restoration of full voltage from fresh batteries can expose any existing issues. The controller may fail due to:
• Aged or damaged components that can’t handle the restored voltage.
• Internal weak spots that were tolerating low power but fail under normal conditions.
• A sudden current surge if other electrical components (solenoid, wiring, etc.) are not in good shape.
After diagnosing the issue, we replaced the necessary components, ensuring the cart ran properly. Two years later, you contacted me to buy the same cart and took my money after we had made the repairs and you had been using the cart on a daily basis. The cart ran flawless that you personally even drove it up on our trailer when coming to pick up the unit.

Highly recommend. Returned my phone call promptly and came out that afternoon. I have an old golf cart with dead batteries and wasn’t sure if it was worth replacing. What a relief when I found Adam and Go Go Carts. He came right out to my mom’s house looked over the golf cart, analyzed what was wrong, contacted me within a few hours with an estimate and date to return to make the repairs.
