We experienced a sewer backup and after Any Hour conducted a camera inspection we learned the pipe was installed with vertical and horizontal connections to the municipal pipe and had settled in sections. Any Hour snaked and cleared the line as a temporary fix and a few days later trenched and replaced the pipe. During the process James and Rafa kept us informed of the status and did excellent work with no damage or disturbance to a bordering fence and sidewalks. With no hesitation I would use Any Hour again and recommend them for their excellent service.

Had them come out for a routine furnace tune-up. The furnace was working perfectly fine beforehand — no issues at all. During the visit, the technician even told me everything looked good. The next day when I tried turning the furnace on, it wouldn’t start and the house wouldn’t heat. This had never happened before their service. I called the company to explain the situation, thinking they’d want to come back and check what might have happened during the tune-up. Instead, they told me I would need to pay another service fee just for someone to come back and look at it, even though the issue started immediately after their visit. Pretty frustrating to go from a working furnace to no heat right after a tune-up and then be told I have to pay again just to have them check their own work.

SECOND REVIEW (December 2024/January 2025): My husband hired Any Hour again in late December (into January) of 2024. They redid all of the electrical on our house, which was incredibly expensive. The work seems fine, but they didn't label our breaker box. That's made it annoying to figure things out as we've continued to do work on the house. Additionally, they installed a new outlet for us on the side of our house, and put spray foam behind the outlet. It sticks out of the wall an inch or two and looks horrible (see picture below). I asked for someone to come fix it, but they came, looked at it, said that's just how it was going to be, and left. We still have an ugly outlet unfortunately, and I'm not sure what to do to fix it. FOLLOW-UP: Richard called me and apologized for my experience, which I appreciated. He reassured me to he would talk to the technician and supervisor and correct their behavior. I've changed my review to 3 stars based on his call. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I hired Any Hour last month because our A/C broke and they came out that day to inspect the unit. Once I learned the unit couldn't be repaired, I met with the supervisor later that day to discuss new A/C & heating options. While both of the men I worked with were nice, the technician who initially came to my home asked me three times to "talk to my husband about everything" and to make sure I "explained everything to my husband" even though I assured him MULTIPLE times I was in charge of our home's finances and was perfectly capable of making a decision. It was very clear that he didn't think a woman should be making a decision about the home and I felt disrespected. Still, I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and spoke to his supervisor, the engineer, later that afternoon. When the supervisor came that afternoon and I gave him feedback about the technician, he didn't see anything wrong with the way he had spoken to me. He said something like, "Well, when 95% of interactions go that way, it's how we do it." Yikes. Here's some business advice: When a customer tells you they can make a decision, you should listen. In fact, I would think it would be policy to simply tell a customer the facts about a project and let that person decide how to proceed. I HIGHLY doubt these men would repeatedly tell a male customer to "talk to your wife" and "make sure your wife understands all of this" before proceeding. Honestly, after considering these interactions, I REALLY wish I had gone with another company, but I had already invested hours into Any Hour and was too tired to find a different one. It also took weeks for our new unit to be installed, which wasn't great. It was, however, very nice of them to bring us a portable unit in the interim, but it wasn't nearly enough to keep our house cool. Additionally, on the day I bought everything, the supervisor said they would try to move us up on the install list, but no one ever contacted me and I didn't hear anything until the day of installation. I would have appreciated an update, even if the update was that we weren't going to be moved up the list. I also asked to be contacted by a water heater specialist, because we want to get a tankless water heater, and that never happened. Overall, if you don't care about male technicians/supervisors telling you to talk to your husband about this stuff because they assume you're incapable, then you will probably have a decent experience with Any Hour. However, if you are a single woman or even a married woman without your husband present, I would highly recommend using a different company. I do not plan to use Any Hour for any services in the future.
