I stayed at Maria's place for 2.5 months over the summer. This was my first time being in Chicago and moving to a big city was a little intimidating. But having a place to stay that felt like home made the experience amazing! I always felt comfortable during my stay; the place is kept clean and the other roommates are friendly and respectful. Maria has answers to ALL of your questions. She was very clear about house rules and goes out of her way to make your stay enjoyable. She felt like a second mom and was always a joy to hang out and converse with. She genuinely cares for all of her guests. The house is pretty centrally located, so getting downtown or out toward the suburbs is fairly convenient. I felt safe in the area. It's walkable and public transpo is accessible. I HIGHLY recommend staying with Maria for an extended stay, you will certainly enjoy it!

This is the ideal place for a foreign exchange student or other young person visiting Chicago for the first time. Maria is warm, prefers being called "Mom," and will mother you all stay long if you're open to it.Unfortunately, as a 48 year old man, I really wasn't looking for a mother, this was just the best place I could afford. While I was there her son was having his house renovated so I had to share a bathroom with him, a first for me at an Air BnB. Maria often asked me to prepare this or that so she could have the place cleaned, and as someone with a chronic illness since I was a teenager, that wasn't always easy for me; neither was her constantly asking me if I needed this or that.All that said, I recognize that Maria meant well and if that is what you want, she's perfect for you. As a former Principal she's also very knowledgeable about Education and management (she gave me great career advice), and there are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Recommended.
I have worked with Maria and her crew for many years helping me personally declutter and organize my apartment when I moved. Everything she did was perfect. She is organized, detail oriented and thorough. As a realtor I have used her services in cleaning, organizing and hauling heavy items over the years. I’ve been a Global Family customer for a few months now and they are excellent. They assisted me with a substantial deep clean of a neglected apartment and have been returning regularly for routine cleanings. I find the pricing to be affordable, and bonus points, they are very friendly! Maria the owner is great at accommodating schedules and I have referred her company to others as well.
