Great little place in Matera. We had the braised beef cheek and the Tagliatelle and it was delicious. Paired with a local red and all for a very reasonable price. Loved it!

Amazing restaurant in Matera with very welcoming and friendly staff and really excellent italian food! You must definitely stop here while visiting Matera. Great atmosphere with nice view from terrace.

Grazie signora Angela e Margherita, della sua accoglienza ! Siamo tornati il giorno dopo tanto siamo stati felici del cibo e del luogo accogliente. La caponata é da trasecolare, il tiramisù ed il cheesecake da urlo!!! Tutti gli ingredienti del territorio, il che rende la qualità altissima, davvero raccomandato! Consiglieremo a tutti gli amici!

Az orecchiette nagyon finom volt, csak ajánlani tudom! A pincérek kedvesek, segítőkészek, angolul is jól beszélnek. Összességében egy nagyon hangulatos hely!

Beautiful setting good food
Close to the port of Trani, in the beautiful old town, you find this little gem, The selection is not huge, but there are some interesting dishes, in addition to the usual ones of the region that you find everywhere. Really like the slowly cooked Stinson di maiale _ a bit similar to pork knuckle. Also the starters were very good. Liked also the green touch that everything in the setting and decoration is recycled from other places or self built.

A must when in Trani
We had the most amazing lunch at Giu a Sud. A quiet place very close to the Cattedeale DI Trani. Maro, the chef, is just fantastic. Very gracious and humble, but puts together many dishes that focus on local ingredients and typical meals for the region. The bruschetta is a must! Locally made orichette with a lovely meat sauce was also delicious. We finished with tiramisu. Again, excellent. I’m short, don’t miss out on this gem.
