It's said a lot in reviews, but I truly couldn't recommend Giants Foot more heavily to any beginner, intermediate or advanced surfers. The rooms are clean, the beds and sheets are soft and the A/C is cold. The food throughout the week (which is provided) was genuienly fantastic and just what you need after a surf! There is also free flow alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks which makes things really simple and relaxed. The surf coaches, Kev and Ronald, were super friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and spoke great English. Importantly they were also both brilliant surfers, so their advice and tips were credible and super helpful! It's said a lot in reviews, but I truly couldn't recommend Giants Foot more heavily to any beginner, intermediate or advanced surfers.

The rooms are clean, the beds and sheets are soft and the A/C is cold.

The food throughout the week (which is provided) was genuienly fantastic and just what you need after a surf! There is also free flow alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks which makes things really simple and relaxed.

Giant's Foot is a really cool chill place with great people - definitely recommend. The rooms are clean, the staff and surf instructors are super friendly, and Tara and Trevor make sure their guests are taken care of. I flew in to Managua and had the ride from Managua to Gigante (and the ride back) set up by Giant's Foot which worked out great. The food was super good. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday. Yoga first thing the morning was great in an upstairs level that looks out on the bay. The schedule was yoga, breakfast, morning surf session, lunch, afternoon surf session, and dinner. Totally stress free. The surf instructors Kevin and Ronald are super cool and knowledgeable. I am a total beginner surfer and they were both patient and helpful. I made some significant progress during the time I was there. Last day we took a boat up the coast to Lance's Left for a day of surfing, fishing, and lunch on the boat. The ride up and back down the coast was scenic and fun. Very cool day. Gigante is in a beautiful area and is a cool place to get out and away from the wherever you may be coming from. There are also some fun things to check out in Gigante - including trivia night at a local cantina where team Giant's Foot won. I had a most excellent time.

Having a boat is a must and allowed us access to world-class breaks. The boat captain Armando was a real pro! We had great waves all week, and while you cannot control the weather and waves, you can control many factors like food and service - both were exceptional at Giant's Foot! Delicious home made dishes, endless beers, Flor de Cana, and relaxed atmosphere was unforgettable! A nice bonus was fishing (after surfing returning back to lodge). I previously stayed in the Popoyo area but Giant's Foot will be my go-to spot due to the beach side lodging and overall experience!

Thank you Tara, Trevor (the wonderful owners) and the staff for the best surf trip I could have possibly wished for. Where do I start? There is always a good vibe at the camp, it's simply hard to have a bad day in the GFS bay. I can't say I really saw much outside of the camp, I felt like everything I wanted for my trip, I had at the camp. The daily boat trips to the best surf peaks with perfect waves, picked daily by the local experts are unforgettable. The only reason I had for leaving the camp was surfing. This trip, I have surfed the best waves of my entire life, several times. When I come out of the water and onto the boat, the boys hand me a drink from the cooler and when we get back to the camp, food is ready for us. The food is to die for, I still haven't been able to decide which is my favorite meal, but I think it's the steak, salad and mashed potatoes. The quality of these delicious, healthy, home cooked meals are honestly not what I expected at an all inclusive resort. I call it the princess treatment, because I felt like a princess my entire stay. Anything you want or need, Tara and Trevor are always there to help you in any way they can. The massages, yes I ended up taking several because they are just that good. My room was cleaned DAILY. My transfer to and from the airport was flawless and Tara was on top of everything with regards to transportation. I could write a book about every little thing that made choosing Giants Foot Surf the best decision but who has the time to read all that! So hereby, thank you again to everyone who has made this trip so special. My next vacation is definitely GFS 2.0

I can't speak highly enough of Giants Foot Surf Tours or the folks running it. The camp delivered both unforgettable waves and an incredible sense of community. I spent 10 days there in May and everything from start to finish exceeded expectations. The surf? Unreal. We scored consistent overhead+ waves, hitting every major break up and down the coast thanks to their dialed-in boat access and experienced local guides. Kevin and Carlos are top notch surfers and guides! Every session felt like we were exactly where we needed to be, with zero guesswork—just pure surfing. The crew at the camp—both staff and fellow surfers—made the whole trip even more special. We had a group of 7 total, and it was the perfect balance of energy and camaraderie, with everyone pushing each other in the water and hanging out like old friends back at camp. The food was next-level. Every meal was fresh, local, and exactly what you want after a long day of surfing. Bottom line - if you want to score great waves, with the best guides in Nicaragua, while supporting a great business with amazing staff and community connections, Giant's Foot is where it's at. We booked a group of 3 and there were 4 other people booked for our 10 day period in May for a total group of 7- all great people, and all rippers or intermediates. The boat trips were amazing - we hit all the major breaks along the coast in solid overhead + conditions. The food was amazing. The fishing on the trip back from the breaks was a blast. The people and connections made were incredible. The owners Trevor and Tara are great people who really go the extra mile to make Giants a great experience for guests. They also do a lot for the local community - hosting dances for the community kids, saving turtles, picking up trash, and generally being great caring people. Will 100% be back.

Two Thumbs Up to Giant's Foot Surf My wife and I just returned home from a week at Giant's Foot Surf and we are so happy to give two thumbs up for the great experience! I initially reached out to Tara, who was an amazing host and coordinated all of our transportation for my wife and I, which worked out perfectly. We opted to fly into Costa Rica and cross the border to Nicaragua. I brought a board with me, but they also have a quiver of boards available. Trevor was a great host who welcomed us, and I enjoyed our conversations during our stay. My wife doesn’t surf but she enjoyed the downtime and hiking with Tara. We surfed twice a day and the surf guides, Kevin and Ron, were fantastic. Sometimes we went by boat, sometimes by truck, but we always went to where the waves were best. We had a range of surfing experience in our group of surfers and the guides were very accommodating to everybody’s skill level. It was definitely one of my best surfing experiences. The food was great and the staff was great. They had yoga classes every morning and other activities available if you are not surfing. The location is right on the beach - so even nice to just relax. We ended up meeting a bunch of people from the community who were all very welcoming. Our group of guests/surfers was the best! I highly recommend it if you’re thinking about going to surf Nicaragua! I’ll be back for sure.

When we decided we wanted to host a surf camp, GFS was an easy pick. Tara, owner and client relations, was incredible to work with. She answered all of our questions, got on the phone with us multiple times, took care of all of our logistics, and was a real joy to have host us in Nicaragua. I could go on forever here, but the summary is that GFS gave us everything we needed for our trip and much more. The surfing guides were incredible, the camp staff were incredible, the kitchen staff was incredible, basically everything was perfect. We could have gone anywhere, but damn I'm happy we went with GFS. Whether you need full support for your large group, or you want a solo surf adventure, I would recommend GFS without any hesitation!

Awesome place! Wonderful place! Spent 6 nights here with 8 other men while on a men’s surf trip with Type3Life. Not a single complaint. Tara and the staff were amazing. The surf guides were patient, knowledgeable and simply fun to be around. We had first time surfers and experienced surfers. They made sure there was something for all of us. The food was amazing. The location is amazing. It was an incredible week and the entire experience with GFS was wonderful!
