Cool. Currently an active NYFD station but lots of people were taking photos.

This was super cool to see in person. The design of the building and the art work is really neat and I’m glad I finally got to see this firehouse in person.

The Ghostbusters Firehouse in NYC is a classic photo spot and a must for fans. In real life, it’s an active fire station, so you’ll often see firefighters working inside, but you’re welcome to take photos and enjoy the location from the outside. Sometimes it gets crowded, but other times you might have the place almost to yourself. Best of all, in a city like New York, it’s completely free to visit.

If you grew up on Ghostbusters, this stop is PURE MAGIC! Standing in front of the firehouse felt like stepping straight into the movie. The red brick, the bay door, the logo above the entrance—it’s all instantly recognizable and gave me goosebumps the moment we turned the corner. What makes it even cooler is that it’s still a working FDNY firehouse, which just adds to the awe factor. You’re not looking at a staged tourist trap—you’re looking at the real deal. When the garage doors were open, we could see the fire trucks and even pick up some t-shirts sold by the firefighters themselves (bring cash if you want merch!). That mix of movie nostalgia and real New York grit makes it unforgettable. I could almost hear the siren of the Ecto-1 echoing down North Moore Street. For Ghostbusters fans, this is holy ground. For everyone else, it’s still an awesome piece of pop culture history tucked into Tribeca. Honestly, it was the highlight of our trip—I left grinning like a kid all over again. Who you gonna call?

Solamente se puede bar el edificio por fuera, es una parada rápida

I think this building should be condemned. There's serious metal fatigue in all the load-bearing members, the wiring is substandard, it's completely inadequate for their power needs, and the neighborhood is like a demilitarized zone On the plus side, the poles still work. I heard they had to remortgage a house left to Ray by his grandmother. I'd say it was well worth it!
