Karen is very knowledgeable and really digs deep for the family information. She asks up front what you want and I thought I knew but after she pulled up information I wanted her to dig deeper. It's pretty incredible what she does. She is patient, honest and her pries are very reasonable. After she did my dad's side of the family, my husband was so impressed with what she did he wanted his family tree to be done. So, she is now finishing up the Fogarty side of the family. Karen is the real deal.
We both highly recommend Karen to get this research done. Most of us don't have the time or resources to get this completed. What a special gift this information has been for our families!

Turns out Grampy K was really Grampy Brown! Great Granny Blanche married Mr. Brown in Tennessee when she was just 16. The marriage records notes that her dad gave his consent over the phone. The 1930 Census has her living under the Brown name in Michigan with 3 sons age 1 to 6, as either a widow or divorced. Hard to tell which because of scribbling. Meanwhile, Mr. Brown is listed as single living with his parents back in Tn. No divorce record has been found. When Grampy was 3, he got a step-dad and uses his last name. Confirmed my suspicions and math, things did not add up.

Thank you for sharing such a fascinating and detailed family discovery, C. Lee! We're so glad our resources helped piece together this intriguing puzzle. It's amazing how history comes to light through records!
When later in life we discovered through 23nMe that elder "sister" was actually "half-sister", Lillie Grace, was instrumental in determining who her biological father was...and got history and background on him. Family stories we would have never known otherwise. Thank you, Karen, Lillie Grace, for helping to piece family mystery together.
I recently found out at 55 that my father I grew up with is not my biological dad. Despite knowing his name and DOB I was striking out on finding any further information. Karen is an absolute angel who got me started making connections I would never have figured out on my own. I wholeheartedly recommend her for your genealogy research needs.

It was my pleasure to work on your heritage. More information may come to light as more documents are digitized and more people test. I will check in periodically to see if I can find more.
