I have no idea how this company has such high and good reviews! Garage door scams are real and Precision Garage Door Services is a text book example. My 80 year old Dad had a problem with his garage door. I found Precision Garage Door Services after doing a google search. They had over 3k reviews and a 4.9 rating. Sounded perfect. They sent Michael as the "technician" to do the work. He recommended replacing the cables and adjusting the springs, which I admit had to be done, to get the garage door working normally again. He also recommended though, two other options which would have been in the 1.5-3k range for a longer warranty and replacing some parts. He gave us an estimate of $760 dollars to get it working (a Google search later found it should have cost closer to $200-$350) so we told him to do that. After getting the garage door to manually go up and down, he told me that the one year old motor needed to be replaced for a cost of $1800. "The garage door won't go down when being programmed. There must be an internal problem with the motor". I told him to hold off. This morning I called tech support with Chamberlain (manufacturer of garage motor). After running some tests the technician was able to direct me to check the cable tension monitor. Turns out, when Michael installed the new cables, he didn't engage the cable tension monitor. This monitor is a safety precaution, if it isn't engaged the door won't go down. One would think a "professional" would know this?! At the very least, why not a phone call to chamberlain technical support if you don't know how something works?! I absolutely would not recommend the crooks that work at this company to my worst enemy. I honestly don't know how they sleep at night!

These guys are great. Very professional on how they do business. I called and setup a appt to fix my garage door. It roller on one side had the cable come off. Sergio was the tech that came over and looked at the situation. Quickly told me the issue and fixed the issue. He also noticed a couple of the bolts were loose and tighten it all down. Re-adjusted the garage door to make sure it was operated properly. Very friendly, straight up told me what the issue was, and repaired it. Sergio was great!

Alex inspected the garage door mechanics thoroughly, and then gave me three options of having the repair done.
He explained each option and I made a choice.
He finished all repairs in about an hour.

The spring broke on my garage door, it kept crashing down. Josh was my serviceman. He was professional, on time, high energy and completed the repairs ahead of schedule. He offered me 3 price packages depending on how much preventive work I wanted done beyond the basic repair and length of warranty. There was no pressure to choose the more expensive options. My garage door is now working well and I couldn't be more satisfied.
Eric Stevens is very professional and very knowledgeable of getting the problems resolved. He explained the problem with the garage door and provided the solutions to resolved the issues. Very satisfied with his professionalism.
