Hands down the best Japanese food in Mirissa. The quality, freshness, and care put into the dishes really stand out and you can tell this place is run with passion.
What made the experience truly unforgettable though was the kindness. We had an urgent hotel issue and had to suddenly leave the restaurant for about 20 to 30 minutes to check out and move luggage before checking into another place. Not only were they completely understanding, but they even offered to come help us with our luggage. That level of genuine hospitality is rare.
Amazing food, incredible people, and a place that treats you like family. If you are in Mirissa, this is an absolute must visit. 🍣

Excellent sushi in the heart of Mirissa! Honestly, wow. The quality of the fish was exceptional. Ordered 3 x sushi, 1 x gyoza and 1 x yaki soba and couldn’t fault a thing.
Wonderful service as well.
If we weren’t leaving tomorrow, we’d come back!!

Bella location, il cibo era un po' blando, il ramen in particolare. Ho provato anche il pollo teriyaki nelle sezione main ma la porzione mi ha fatto il solletico, magari con del riso a parte sarebbe stato quasi sufficiente.
Non ho provato il sushi 🍣, le cucine non mi sembrano attrezzate qui in SriLanka con un abbattitore quindi ho evitato..

Such a delicious meal!! The service was super speedy and the staff were all very friendly. The sushi was all absolutely delicious and very fresh (and we’ve been to Japan!) Huge portions! Would absolutely recommend!

I’ll level with you - at first I felt like a cop out going for sushi while in Sri Lanka but as soon as I tasted the food and cocktails any regrets I had left my body. Unreal sushi, staff were so helpful with our uncultured ignorance of what was what and how many of each to order. Oh and the cocktails 👀 highly recommend the mule one. Stun.

We wanted to try something different from Srilankan taste but still wanted to have seafood so we opted for Japanese and found this place. And we’re glad we tried it- we had Chicken Teriyaki; prawn tempura and TempuraPrawn sushi roll and damn it was goooood.
Must try place in Mirissa- service was nice and they kept on checking in between meals if the food was nice. :)
Also the Iced Matcha was nice. Thank you for making our evening worthwhile.

We had prawn tempora, sushi, chicken teriyaki and for drinks we had arrack and matcha latte..
Food was delicious and staff were friendly as all Sri Lankan people are.. We had a lovely experience there and the atmosphere takes you to Japan.

Wat een geweldige ervaring bij GAMI! De sushi was ongelooflijk vers, met prachtige, smaakvolle stukjes vis en lekkere combinaties - een echte smaaksensatie. De sfeer is top - lekkere ontspannen achtergrondmuziek, de bediening supervriendelijk en behulpzaam, en de hygiëne (met die leuke open keuken!) is uitstekend, wat zorgt voor een complete, positieve beleving. Een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die van hoge kwaliteit sushi houdt; wij komen zeker terug!

Couldn’t fault this meal. Great service. Portion sizes were generous. We ordered three starters and the Gami platter to share and were stuffed. Mango margarita and blue breeze mocktail were also delicious. Yes, the price isn’t comparable to other local establishments but they cannot be compared. Don’t miss this!
