This is the second time we've used thier services. From first point on contact thier compassion is amazing. Nothing and I mean nothing, however silly it seems, is too much trouble. Both you and the deceased are treated as proper human beings not numbers. Nothing rushed, no trying to get you to have better, no trying to sell you something you dont need, everything is about you and the deceased. I wasn't prepared for my dad to be taken when they arrived to take his body from the care home. No problem "we'll be outside until you're ready for us to take him" no pushing for me to hurry up. The chapel of rest is so calming and peaceful, not like another one we visited during our own bereavement, the difference was unreal. I wanted a last coffee with dad and they even made me one so I could sit with him and have it. Its the little things that make the big differences. The day of the funeral, again Carl and his team went above and beyond. If I could give WIFS more than 5 stars I would

At such a challenging time Sue, Carl and the team were amazingly supportive, thoughtful and just so professional. Often when selecting a funeral director you don’t have a comparison but unfortunately this was our second family funeral within a year and Sue was just the ultimate in caring and empathy, she guided us through every decision just when we needed her and her recommendations were perfect. Absolutely incredible from my experience. My 43 year old Son’s funeral was a beautiful service and more of a celebration of his life. The staff were outstanding and I formed a special relationship with them they helped me through my grief and they made my Son’s funeral perfect. I recommend them 100% to anyone for their professional and personal service.

They carried out all the arrangements for my husband's service, making every step clear and stress-free. I was told of all the costs up-front, no hidden surprises. They also helped keep costs reasonable for what we chose, and with an absolute minimum of fuss. A quote from their local competitors was significantly more expensive, and yet Carl managed to provide higher quality in everything provided.

I want to say what a professional and caring service I received from Whittlesea Independent Funeral Service. When my father died unexpectedly on a Friday evening I contacted them and they were very kind and told me what I needed to do. They came and picked up my father and showed the utmost respect. When arranging the cremation they couldn’t have done more they listened to my mothers requests and acted on them. Due to circumstances there was a month between my father’s death and the funeral. Nothing was too much trouble. On the day it went without a hitch. I would highly recommend their service to any one.

We recently used Carl and his team for my fathers funeral. I can't recommend them enough, excellent personable service and great communication and assistance throughout the whole process. The ceremonial celebrant Jenny, who Carl arranged provided a lovely ceremony. As much as we would never want to, we wouldn't hesitate to use their services in the future.
