After being approved, I actually Received my Flyerfund Rebate in my PayPal account before Receiving my credit card In the mail… gotta love it
Signed up for Scotiabank Money Master Savings account. Opened the account through the FrugalFlyer link. Signed up for new Money Master Savings Account within 60 days of opening the Scotiabank Ultimate chequing account. Enrolled in one eligible smart savings tool via the mobile app and stayed enrolled in the tool for at least 90 consecutive days.
Followed all the rules and process and Frugal Flyer has denied my $80 rebate for Scotiabank Money Master Savings Account stating Frugal Flyer connected with “Scotiabank on your specific case, and they have confirmed that they will not be paying an affiliate commission on this application.”
Be careful! Watch out Frugal Flyer does not stand by their rebate offerings! Go somewhere else.

As you are aware, we followed up with the Scotiabank banking affiliate team to attempt to confirm your application approval and eligibility, using the information you provided, and they determined and communicated to us that this application was not commissionable using their internal process.
To clarify, yes we absolutely stand behind our rebate offerings. However, if the rebate application is determined non-commissable by the institution, then we cannot pay the rebate without incurring a loss on the application.
Ultimately, the financial institution is responsible for determining rebate eligibility and not us.
However, we acknowledge that the processes that go into confirming rebate eligibility are not always perfect, which is why we work with our partner institutions to fine-tune these back end processes. We strive to minimize any incorrect decisions as much as possible and hope that you will consider using Frugal Flyer again in the future.
