I recently completed my Level 1 Freedive course with Central Freedive, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! Day 1 with Moon was incredible! his depth of knowledge and real-world experience came through in every part of the class and pool session. He explained everything clearly, answered every question with patience, and created an environment where we all felt safe, supported, and completely comfortable trying new skills for the first time. His calm and encouraging teaching style really set the tone for the whole course. Day 2 with Max and Tom was just as impressive. Both instructors were highly experienced and always right there to guide us, offering valuable tips and personalized feedback throughout the entire session. Their focus on safety, technique, and making sure we progressed at our own pace made a huge difference in our confidence and abilities. Our experience with Freediving Central was totally unforgettable. We went on a trip with Dan and his crew to Timor-Leste to see the blue whales. Luckily, we also got to swim with a pod of sperm whales! We had incredible, once-in-a-lifetime encounters, and everything was done respectfully. Freediving Central’s partner dive operator, Compass Diving, was also very mindful of the rules to keep the animals safe. Freediving Central was helpful and organized from start to finish. Outside of the whale-searching and snorkeling/freediving, everything was handled for us — restaurant reservations, transportation, etc. It’s essential to mention that Dan booked us a Hello Kitty and Jesus–themed party bus once (you’re an icon). The Freediving Central crew and the other guests were so lovely (in a chaotic, endearingly unhinged sort of way 😂); even off the boat, the trip was such a great time. 10/10 recommend. Hope I get to see you all again soon!

The whole team is super friendly, patient, and genuinely passionate about teaching. They really take the time to help you understand the techniques - especially with equalisation, which I struggled with at first. The instructors guided me through every step, offering personal tips and encouragement that made a huge difference. The course itself was not only educational but also a pure joy to do. I felt safe, supported, and inspired the whole way through. Can't recommend Freediving Central enough - if you've ever wanted to explore freediving, this is the perfect place to start!
