We booked a trip to Mount Teide by bus. It was supposed to be a full day tour. At the time, Mount Teide had some road closures due to the weather, but was still accessible by other roads. I booked the tour the day before so all guidance about closures and routes were known and published online (I read it myself). TripTenerife outsource the booking to another company, which they have still not told me the name of. The trip was much shorter than advertised: we had left Mount Teide to go home by 12:30pm (so definitely not a full day trip!!) and missed some of the best parts of Mount Teide which are further up - despite these roads still being open. The trip was not as advertised but they have refused to refund any of them money (we paid a whopping €49 EACH for this trip!). It has been 3 weeks since the trip and I am now fed up trying to contact them about it. Although the section of the trip we did was good, it was absolutely not worth €49 we paid and we feel scammed because they lied about it being "full day". Had we known it would be a few hours, we would not have paid this. They made a lot of money out of us and everyone on the trip. As they outsourced it to another company, they said the other company won't refund them so they can't refund us, they won't tell me the name of the other company, making a complaint just goes to the same person I am already speaking to AKA the complaint goes in the bin. This company is overpriced with poor customer service. Better to book with the companies they are outsourcing to, as if something goes wrong, they "can't do anything".
Very pleasant experience. We went on the Teide, Masca, Garachico and Icod Tour. The guide was excellent and we had a really good time. The driver drove the route through Masca exceptionally. The time in the national park is only 30-40 minutes, but the trip is really beautiful. Also time for lunch at Dragon tree, we decided to go around Icod instead of going to the common restaurant.
An additional plus is that they picked us up almost at our accommodation location, we were 50 m from the entrance gate and they dropped us off there too.
