Fork & Ale’s grouper sandwich is phenomenal — perfectly blackened, super fresh, and elevated by their house caper tartar sauce. The new owner, Jeff, is awesome. He’s revamped the menu with great dishes and is really steering the place toward a true scratch-kitchen feel. We go at least once a week, and it just keeps getting better. Highly recommend!
Fork & Ale House is truly awesome and always a solid choice! The kitchen never disappoints: the food is always fresh and super tasty, and the drinks are consistently on point. The staff are both friendly and fast, ensuring a great experience every time. With great food, great service, and an amazing atmosphere, this is definitely one of my go-to places. Highly recommend this reliable spot!
The food and atmosphere here are simply amazing! This was the perfect fit for me after a long drive from NC. I was so impressed by the attention to detail; my server was very attentive and truly made me feel welcome with that classic, reliable Midwest hospitality. I will absolutely be back!
Stopped here tonight for supper with our daughter, I was very disappointed. My husband and daughter loved the oysters. I order crab cake entree with mac and cheese and cauliflower, very disappointing, all was very bland , I only took one bite of the crab cake, was gluey and tasted like playdough. They did offer to get me something different but I was so disappointed that I didn’t want to try anything else. They did give me partial credit. We travel a lot and dine out frequently, I don’t usually complain but when I do I expect a manager or the chef come out and ask how they can improve and ask why I didn’t care for dish. They did not approach me which to me means they don’t care. We had excellent service from Phoebe, however I would not recommend this establishment and they were pricey for the quality of food
We were in town for a soccer tournament this past weekend, and Fork & Ale House went above and beyond to accommodate our group of about 30 on Friday night. Jeff, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and made sure everything was perfect. Our server was awesome—friendly, attentive, and kept things running smoothly. The food was fantastic and came out impressively fast for such a large group.
If we’re ever back in Carmel, Fork & Ale House will definitely be one of our go-to spots. Highly recommend!
Ordered food from here while in the plaza, great amount per portion, just the right temperature for the food. Good wings, crunchy outside, and a soft inside, with a side of ranch. Pizza was above average, stringy, but very tasty, very large pieces. Did not go inside, or sit inside, therefore don't know how good the service was or the seating within the restaurant. But good outside seating, many places to sit, great atmosphere, very calm and very pleasant. Highly recommend this restaurant for your stay.
It started out bad when I asked for a sort table. The host said that I should have requested that when I made the reservation. True, but I missed that and didn't need to be snipped at about it. He could have just said that he would seat me when a table became available. The food was good. Atmosphere was nice. I think they should have had the outdoor heaters on a bit earlier. Dining on the patio was pretty chili. Now that I know how to request a table properly, I may go back and avoid the ire of the host.
