I can’t recommend the team at Florance Electrical enough. They are always so friendly, professional and genuinely lovely to deal with. Nothing ever seems like too much trouble and they consistently go above and beyond to help. It’s so nice dealing with a team that takes pride in their work and really cares about their customers. We definitely will be using Alex and the team for all our electrical needs from now on 😊
Great job
Very professional.
I have used this company a number of times. Cannot fault the service, friendly and courteous staff who go the extra mile for their clients needs. Would highly recommend.

Dear Lynne, we're delighted to hear about your positive experiences with our team. Your recommendation is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Price gouging after cyclone? We needed a Certificate of Compliance for power reconnection after Cyclone Fina. Calling Florance Electrical was a mistake.
We were charged $440 for the certificate, which needed to be paid on-the-spot before they would issue it. No rectification works were performed, the invoice is only for inspection, testing and certification.
With three young kids, including a 10 week old newborn baby, we were desperate to get power reconnected asap - not that we had a choice as we were given no indication on price beforehand.
Although I appreciate the owner getting in touch with me to describe how thorough they are in issuing compliance cerificates, I cannot recommend a company which appeared to prey on the requirement to get an electrician's certificate and people's desperation in the aftermath of a cyclone.

Thank you, Victoria, for taking the time to provide your feedback. We genuinely regret that you feel disappointed, especially during a stressful period following the cyclone.
We understand your frustration with the cost, and we want to provide complete transparency regarding the charge. Contrary to the impression that "no rectification works were performed," the fee covered a mandatory and detailed process that included identifying and clearing a fault found on your property's electrical system. Following a major weather event like Cyclone Fina, obtaining a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) requires inspection and testing of the installation to confirm it is safe to be reconnected to the network. This is not simple paperwork. During this thorough testing, our electrician, Aleki, identified a fault on the consumer mains cable that needed immediate attention for safe reconnection. The majority of the time spent onsite was dedicated to investigating and clearing this fault, which then allowed us to safely issue the CoC. Had no faults been identified, the job would have been significantly faster and the invoice cheaper.
We must also address the claim of "price gouging" and "preying on desperation." The fee reflects the actual time taken onsite to perform the mandated comprehensive testing and clear the safety-critical fault, not a fixed fee for a CoC during an emergency. We have a duty of care and legal liability to ensure the electrical installation is safe before we sign off on a CoC. Ignoring a fault or an identified non-compliance to save time or money would be negligent and dangerous to the occupants. We apologise that the full cost was not clear to you beforehand. In emergencies, we quote our standard hourly rate for diagnostic work, which is required before a final CoC can be issued.
We are truly sorry that the necessity of performing this detailed, safety-critical work—which resulted in a higher fee—has led to the feeling that you were taken advantage of. We strive to maintain the highest safety standards for all our clients, especially those recovering from a natural disaster. We wish you and your family all the best in settling back into your home.

Thank you, Mr. Gupta, for taking the time to share your feedback.
We are sorry to hear that you feel the service was unsatisfactory and the pricing high. We aim to provide excellent value for the quality of work and expertise delivered, and we ensure our costs are competitive and clearly communicated upfront with payment expected after the job is completed.
Our team is committed to delivering a high-quality service and we were under the impression you were satisfied with the work completed on the day.
Unfortunately whether intentional or not the payment receipt provided to our electrician onsite was false and the funds were never transferred.
We received the funds approximately one month after the service was rendered, and only following several follow-up communications from our team.
We are disappointed that this experience ultimately led to a one-star rating. We strive to provide transparent pricing and excellent service, and we regret that the necessity of pursuing payment became your final perception.
