Got a couple of stoves installed last October from Flame by Design. Highly recommend them. You pay a bit more but then you get the quality. The stoves are both Scandinavian wood burning stoves with ultra-low emissions so are future-proofed for clean-air legislation coming from Europe. The heat they give out is incredible and best of all there is almost no cleaning! They burn the wood so well there is only a very small amount of ash generated. I wanted a free-standing stove that sat into the chimney breast and they were one of the few that would do it for me. I love the look of it. The other stove I got was for a smaller room and I went for an inset which also looked great then it was done. The installers were great, extremely efficient and knowledgeable. There was an incredible amount of cleaning to do afterwards but it was worth it (decades of soot escaped during the work and there isn't much any installer can do to stop that!). The after-sales care was superb. Sean and John came to my house to show me how to light them to get them best out of them, and explained how to best operate them. Would definitely recommend Flame by Design and wood burning stoves!

Michael and the staff were are really helpful and friendly. The stove surround arrived earlier than predicted so we got it installed before Christmas which was a nice bonus. The communication was prompt, clear and friendly. The installer was very professional and did a great job. The stove itself is really easy to use and I think we were advised really well on what type/size of stove to install for the room size etc. I’d have no hesitation recommending flame by design to anyone looking to have a stove installed.

I have dealt with Flame by Design 3 times over the last 12 years, 2 wood burning stones in a traditional fireplace and 1 gas fire in a modern bespoke fireplace. They are industry experts and from the moment you engage with them they give great advice, they work with you and your space and create something perfect for the room. John helped me design a bespoke fireplace and had plenty of patience as we adapted the design quite a few times ! I am very happy with the final result, they use the best materials and brands and it shows in the final result. Would highly recommend.

An excellent service. We were shown the various stoves and given a detailed description of how the actual stoves work, how to light a fire correctly and how to maintain the stove. Our Wood Burner was fitted in a timely fashion and within the timeframe given to us. It works really well and heats the house just as how we were advised it was. Would highly recommend.
