The company’s name is accurate! A great company to work with. We were looking to do a bathroom makeover to allow for easier access and convert the bathtub into a walk in shower. After meeting with four bathroom contractors went with Five Stars, Greg and Rick walked through the complete scope of work and made a few redesign suggestions we ended up doing. Working from out of state was never a problem. We worked closely with Regina to select items for the new bathroom and a few different stores were used for selecting the tile, flooring, fixtures etc….. The inspection process was the only thing that slowed things down once. Greg, Rick and Regina were available for a conversation. I would strongly recommend this company and look forward to working with them in the future.

We have had the opportunity to work with Rick on a couple of projects and he and his crew have been incredible. The work that was completed was amazing, but you can see that in the photos! Communication was always responsive and clear, but two things stand out to me: 1.) He personally went to bat for us against insurance to make sure we got what we deserved out of our claim. That made a world of difference. 2.) Rick and his team offer a complete package of options including help to design your space. That really helps to take the stress off of you. Pricing was more than fair and very transparent. Rick is a real person and will be honest about your project. We would recommend his business to any and everyone.

I could not be happier with the results from Five Star Home Improvement. I used Grok AI to check for builders in the Downriver area and contacted three different contractors based on the AI recommendations. Greg from Five Start came out and met with me to go over the project. He laid out my options and what needed to be done and had a nice detailed quote ready for review in less that 24 hours. The price was in the ballpark and based on my meeting with Greg, I decided to go with Five Star. Greg is very knowledgeable and was easy to work with on the entire project...a great representative for Five Star Home Improvement. I'm the son of a brick layer so know what it takes to complete a project of this scope. When I met Mark and Dan and chatted with them for a bit, I knew I had the guys I needed to get the job done right. I know quality work when I see it and Mark, Dan and their helper did a fantastic job on the porch. These guys worked their butts off tearing out the old porch on my 100+ year old house that presented more than a few challenges. They were very easy to work with and answered all the questions I had over the course of the project. They left the work site in order at the end of each day and did a great job cleaning up when the job was done. They even added some top soil around the porch...which I have already seeded. The end product is a beautiful new porch that is well built and worth every dollar spent. I still have to add some railings, which I chose to do myself, but got some good tips from the guys in that regard too. I would not hesitate to recommend Five Start for a project like the one they did for me. I have some driveway work to get done next year, and my first call will be to Greg with Five Start Home Improvement. Thanks guys !!

Like to give 5 star a 5 out of 5 stars and wanna say a big thankyou to Rick and Gregg along with a little note the wife and I have delt with a lot of loss in the last 5 years including the loss our son and wanna say i owe 5 star they put a long awaited smile back on my wifes face something i have waited a little over 5 years to see and wanna thank 5 star Especially Rick and Gregg they are above Honorable and you can tell they are a great team and they enjoy doing what they do i would Recommend 5 star for and all construction needs youre house may need no matter how big or small. Again thankyoi guys have a great summer.

The owner Rick did my roof a year ago and this winter being very cold I had ice damm built up and it started to leak into my house and my house is all new construction so my ceiling is open no insulation up yet I called Rick and he came out and explained to me that it wasn't his work that was causing the issue with the leaking I didn't think it was but I had to call he explained to me what was happening and said he would come out and take care of it and explain to me once the insulation was in and it was venting probably this issue would be no more I totally recommend this company you don't see companies honoring there work these days

Great experience with Greg and his worker today. Repaired side of house siding damaged with recent high winds. They also did a fabulous job repairing two broken down kitchen cabinet bases. He kept us informed on repair date and time frame. Alerted us with arrival time. Their work was clean, meticulous and affordable. I will certainly recommend them and use again in the future.
