I found a little vintage ukulele in a thrift shop in Brisbane. It is almost 100 years old and needed a bit of work. So I sent Dan a few photos, and he took it on for me. After a polish, fitting of the 3 old original pegs and finding me a 4th wooden peg that is a great match, regluing of the bridge, sealing of the seams, fixing a couple of small cracks and stringing, I have a real little ripper. The ukulele looks great, and sounds really incredible. The revamped original wooden violin pegs are really easy and nice to tune. It weighs only a tiny 225gms, but it has a really big voice and is sweet.. I am so happy. Thank you Dan.

Awesome service. Dan is friendly, knowledgeable and listens to what one is asking about. He has top instruments and no doubt trade in instruments as well. We just wanted a new violin bow but Dan tuned it, taught us how to tune it properly, plus picked up (as just starting learning to play) and shared with us the correct way to hold the bow and more. We now have found a place that we know will always help us and that we feel comfortable we are getting service that goes beyond.

Took 4 violins to Dan last week and collected them all today . The violins required varying degrees of regluing following issues with humidity and the QLD climate which had created havoc with them , also one fiddle I decided to have perfection pegs fitted . It was such a pleasure doing business with Dan and I can’t recommend his expertise and craftsmanship enough , he is keen to impart his advice . It was great spending time in the workshop of this professional and I also had great pleasure trying some of the instruments he has for sale . I’m pleased that I have found myself a good honest luthier the work he did was exceptional and at a reasonable cost too .
