We had a wonderful experience with Fernweh Schnauzers. The process from getting to know the owner and puppies was easy, informative and fun. Our puppy was just as described. He was socialized and taken care of even before he was ours. Communication was easy and they make sure that the owners and puppy are a match. We live several states away and the pickup process was easy. Our puppy is just an absolute sweet dog and the center of our family. Some other dog owners who adopted their dog elsewhere said they wished they would have checked out Fernweh.
We cannot say enough about adopting our pup from Fernweh Miniature Schnauzers. The knowledge, experience and genuine love for what they do was evident in our communications before 'gotcha day' and is apparent every day in our puppy, Dottie Pepper!
Dottie is a beautiful Mini Schnauzer. She learns quickly, is well behaved and loves to play. The emphasis on socialization was evident early on. Once she arrived to her new home, she adjusted quickly.

Thank you so much for bringing our sweet baby girl Alix into our life!! This was the first time we used Fernwah Mini Schnauzers and definitely won’t be our last!! Erica is absolutely amazing! Her puppies are adorable! We live in Maryland and she had a friend bring Alix to use from Indiana. It was such a pleasant experience. I’ve grown up with schnauzers and hers will not disappoint! She is definitely a top notch breeder! Our Alix is the cutest and sweetest little pup!!
We picked up our sweet Ella in September from Erica. She has rapidly become the most popular member of our household! She is absolutely adorable, but more important is a loving, calm and fun loving little pup. She is extremely smart...has all the basic commands down and even knows how to dance and pirouette! The experience with Fernweh was excellent, we highly recommend them for your next fur baby. Our only issue is that we are constantly threatened with dognapping!
I researched Miniature Schnauzer breeders for quite awhile and contacted Erica at Fernweh Miniature Schnauzers and had absolutely wonderful experience. From our first conversation, they were incredibly responsive and transparent, happily answering all of our questions and providing detailed information about the puppy and her parents. Their website is extensive and their breeding practices are sound, breeding for health and temperament. Erica was always prompt in returning calls. We had conversations regarding our family's experience with Miniature Schnauzers and female puppy that was available. Erica made the entire process of making Zoey a part of our family. Zoey is a well adjusted puppy that has been socialized and well mannered. We absolutely love Zoey and training is going fabulously as she is very smart. Erica frequently checks in to make sure Zoey is doing well and if we have any questions or concerns. We received health records, and a special folder with feeding schedules and special care instructions. Our mini is just shy of 5 months now and I am so happy with our Fernweh schnauzer. She is the sweetest and most intelligent dog I think we’ve ever had. She picks up on training so quickly. I watch her strut when I take her for walks and she could definitely be in a show ring. I was going for personality but I got everything. Couldn’t be happier with my choice ❤️
We've had Schnauzers for more than 25 years. Recently, we got two Fernweh pups, both female, who are the best prepared for puppy life than any we've had before! They are sweet as can be and are not afraid of new people, places, and experiences. They are curious, but listen well and learn quickly. I love these pups and would definitely go back to Fernweh again.

Wonderful experience with Fernweh! Our Anastasia will be 6 months on Christmas Day! She is such a wonderful, smart, funny puppy! We are thankful for the love and care/pre training process that Fernweh goes through with each puppy before they go to their new home. It makes the transition for the puppy and the new family happy and smooth!
Our experience with Frernweh Schnauzers has been great… Erica is very diligent in her communication with her puppy adopters….i must say, after having 3 other schnauzers, our little Miss Lucy has the best personality of any of the pups we’ve had….and just very well adapted to a lot of everyday things… she is full of energy and overall, she is stunning…. Probably the prettiest little schnauzer I’ve seen… I’m probably a little biased ….. but also looking for a healthy dog….for me that is quite important …. You won’t go wrong with a Fernweh pup…

My sister and drove 12 hrs round trip from Wisconsin to pick up a Miniature Schnauzer puppy from Fernweh...This was the greatest decision I ever made...The time spent with these puppies and socialization skills is amazing....Penne our puppy has adapted well, loves the cats and her playmate Lola a 4 year old English Setter...I highly recommend this breeder and Erica is amazing...Check them out on Instagram...Here is a Pic of Penne at 18weeks

We loved how she kept us updated with pictures of our puppy, Cooper, while we waited for him to come home — it made the experience even more special and reassuring. Since we had just returned from vacation and couldn’t travel again, Erica coordinated a family friend to deliver Cooper to us for a very reasonable fee, which we truly appreciated.
Cooper arrived healthy, happy, and clearly well-socialized — you can tell he was loved and cared for from the start. Erica has even followed up several times after adoption to see how things are going, which shows how much she cares about her puppies and their families.
