We had an amazing 12 days aboard the Calico Jack in Raja Ampat! The boat was beautiful and well maintained. The crew was exceptional- so attentive and knowledgeable. Our safety and comfort was their top priority. The dive masters were truly masters at spotting unique and hidden sea creatures. They were attentive and astute, recognizing when we may need a little help but never overstepping. “J” was an awesome cruise director- so organized and thorough. Raja Ampat is truly one of the most beautiful places on earth and we were so lucky to see some of it aboard the Calico Jack!
What a fantastic 12 day adventure I had through Raja Ampat aboard the Calico Jack! The whole crew truly went above and beyond to ensure our voyage was a safe and enjoyable one. The diving was obviously unreal, truly mind blowing! The food was great, the cabin was comfortable and clean, zero issues with the head the entire trip, and a really cool ship in general! The crew was what really stood out though, can't say enough great things about everyone. I would highly recommend this charter for your Indonesian diving adventures!
Everything about our livaboard experience on the Anne Bonny with Calico Jack Charters was perfect. The boat itself is beautiful and extremely comfortable and clean even with six adults and six young children in three cabins. Raja Ampat was stunning. But what made the trip incredible was the crew. Cruise Director Rosa was extremely organized and handled logistics seamlessly to ensure that everybody enjoyed themselves in the water and on land - adults, children, divers and non-divers. As a dive master she was excellent - very safe and knowledgeable so that every dive was comfortable and amazing. Aside from the beautiful diversity of fish and coral, we also saw sea turtles, sharks, and even cuttlefish and manta rays! The crew was excellent - very professional and kind, amazing with the kids, they anticipated our every need. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the beach bbq was a real highlight. My only complaint is that now I want to do it again!
Amazing experience with the Anne Bonny crew! We were three families with small kids and a mixed group of divers and snorklers. The activities were plentiful and varied for everyone, a wonderful mix of diving /beach/snorkel time and land excursions. The crew was phenomenal with the kids and always went above and beyond. Our kids said "we were spoiled by the amazing food!" Incredible all around.

The level of attention given to guests was exemplary. Everything ran smoothly, and it was clear how hard every single crew member works and how much pride they take in what they do.
Calico Jack itself is a beautiful ship — a real work of art. It is comfortable, well maintained and thoughtfully designed.
Safety was clearly a priority. Given how remote Raja Ampat is and how difficult access to healthcare would be if something went wrong, this was very important to me. It was obvious throughout the trip that safety was taken seriously and handled professionally - on board, during excursions and while diving. That approach was hugely reassuring.
Dive briefings by the cruise director, J, were thorough and structured. I always knew exactly where we were going, the layout of the dive site and what was expected of me as a diver. That clarity meant I could fully relax and simply enjoy the dives, which ended up being some of the best I’ve ever had.
The food on board was outstanding. As a vegetarian, I was incredibly well looked after - delicious meals every day, and in such generous portions I rarely managed to finish them.
A highlight was the Calico Jack beach BBQ. The crew created a beautiful evening on a secluded beach with dinner under the stars, live music from the crew and a bonfire. J also gave a talk on astronomy, which made the setting even more special. My husband & I were on our honeymoon and we were surprised with a cake and candles - such a thoughtful gesture. It perfectly sums up the care and attention that goes into every detail of this trip.
Having the opportunity to spend time each evening to complete our log books with J, who is a marine biologist, was an incredible bonus. We reviewed marine life sightings and learned more about the ecosystems we had just explored. My husband and I didn’t miss a single session - we were very enthusiastic students! J was not only our guide, but also a teacher and mentor. That added an unexpected and deeply appreciated level of depth to the experience. It's something we have never had on any previous dive trip and will never forget.
I would recommend this liveaboard without hesitation. I hope to dive with Calico Jack, and J, again in the future.

My wife and I booked this trip as a once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon and it exceeded our expectations. It was our first liveaboard experience and we were very impressed.
From the moment we stepped on board, the crew were warm, welcoming and attentive. Everyone clearly works hard and with care, both on deck and behind the scenes, and it shows.
The cabins were kept spotlessly clean every day, and the whole boat felt comfortable and well looked after.
The food was excellent throughout the trip. Meals were plentiful and well cooked, with delicious vegetarian options. We were very well fed the entire time.
The diving was outstanding. The dive guides were skilled, calm and supportive. Every dive felt well planned and safety was a priority.
One of the standout aspects of this trip was the amount of time the cruise director, J, spent teaching and sharing his knowledge. We came away from the trip more confident and knowledgeable divers.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Calico Jack to anyone considering a Raja Ampat liveaboard.
We did the Calico Jack Raja Ampat 12-day liveaboard in December, and it was truly one of the most memorable trips we’ve ever taken.
From the moment we stepped onboard, the crew were incredibly hospitable, friendly, and always happy to help. The atmosphere on the boat was relaxed and fun, and the company of the other guests made the experience even better.
The diving was out of this world with manta encounters, stunning reefs, and some of the most fascinating micro life I’ve ever seen. A huge shoutout to the cruise director J, who is exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate. We learned so much from him on this trip. He’s lively, energetic, and made every dive feel exciting and educational.
We also completed our Advanced Open Water course with J, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. He gave us so much confidence in our diving, and there is truly no better place than Raja Ampat to do this course. My husband still laughs about (and secretly loved) J’s famous “wakey wakey” calls in the mornings.
The food was spot on every single day, and the beach BBQ was such an amazing highlight with great food and an unforgettable setting. The boat and cabins were always spotlessly clean.
We were also celebrating our anniversary, and the crew surprised us with a cake and sang for us which was so thoughtful and a sweet moment that really touched us.
Overall, it was the perfect balance of relaxing and fun, with exceptional diving, an outstanding crew, and an experience we’ll treasure forever. I cannot recommend Calico Jack Raja Ampat highly enough and we would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Apart from diving in Raja Ampat (which is amazing), the crew of Calico Jack makes it extra special. From the iconic welcomes, to the coffee without asking every morning, to the authentic phinisi design of the boat, it’s all part of the phenomenal memories.
The boat holds only 10 guests, and over a 12 day trip it makes for some really strong connections.
The diving is top notch, with a strong focus on safety and coaching. The cruise director Jay is also a marine biologist, which makes him a legend at finding species and explaining what each is.
An absolute must do for any diver.

The Calico Jack crew is really amazing, so attentive, kind and caring. Very happy and uplifting group. The chef did a fantastic job, keeping every one fed, with regular, gluten free, and vegan diets.
The ship with 10 guests was intimate and so fun. Our shipmates became friends and feel like family.
The diving is...well..incredible! The land excursions and beach party were really enjoyable as well!

The 12 day liveaboard on Calico Jack was incredible. This was my first liveaboard experience and it was absolutely amazing, it definitely won’t be my last now.
The crew are so nice, helpful, and friendly. The cruise director J was very knowledgeable organized and brought the energy. I quickly built trust in the crew and director because everything was safety first.
I even did my advanced open water certification during the trip which was fun and challenging. J is a great teacher that pushes you to strive to be a strong diver.
The schedule was optimized for dives, although there was definitely time to relax and recoup in between. One of my favorite times was every night we would all gather and go through and identify the cool fish/worms/eels/sharks/nudibraches/etc etc that we saw that day as we logged our dives. Eventually all sharing pictures.
It was a phenomenal experience and the crew were absolutely fantastic, J the cruise director is a marine biologist and very science focused which I loved.
Calico Jack was great times! Raja Ampat does not disappoint.

As a diver - there were beautiful reefs filled with life, and all the gear was excellent and followed safety protocols. There’s no place like it!
On board, the crew took excellent care of us, and fed us with yummy food till we were full.
The cruise director is passionate, knowledgeable and has great values. He went above and beyond throughout the trip to teach us, and to run an ethical charter, I learnt a lot from him during my trip!

Calico Jack and the crew were absolutely incredible, from start to finish. Even months out, the team was very communicative, and helpful in answering questions in advance. Once getting onto the boat, it was a top notch experience the whole way. The crew were so much fun, while also being professional and just all incredibly good at what they do, from the technical team working on our dive gear and tanks, to the boat captains dropping us at the dive sites, to the incredible chef (soooo good!!) and the kitchen staff (shoutout to Raizon and Jerry), and our fantastic dive guides and cruise director, J, who is not only incredibly knowledgeable about ALL things marine life, but is also highly entertaining, with a few surprises up his sleeve to keep things even more interesting than we thought possible.
The boat itself is a gem, so much fun to be on and absolutely beautiful in its own right. The crew keeps it in tip-top shape, and was super clean and comfy.
All in all, Calico Jack and her lovely crew made for an incredible journey for myself and my great dive mates. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!
